2 /5 Terry Pim: In July 2007, Mike charged me $1550.00 to overhaul the transmission in my 2001 Dodge Ram (163,103 miles). In December 2012, after 47,538 miles driving back and forth to San Marcos, the transmission when out. My new mechanic advised us that the only thing new in my transmission when he dropped it was the torque converter. Mike hadnt rebuilt our transmission at all. Had he bothered to do his job the first time it would not have cost me another $2730.00 to have it repaired properly. I do not recommend Mikes Auto Repair.

1 /5 Carpenter Craig “Big C”: Took two vehicles there. Big mistake! First was my truck because it needed a transmission rebuild. He did the job and 7 months later it blew up. Took him 3 months to do the warranty and he complained about having to do it. I had to threaten him with him with forcing him to return my money to get it done. The second was my wifes car. I paid him almost $1300 to rebuilt the complete ac system on the car and I bought all of the parts! 4 months later it blew out. He gave excuses and put me off for 9 months until I just parked it there and told him to fix it. It still took him a month and he had the nerve to tell me "Its taking up my lift!" Then he charged me $300 more and to boot, they left the windows down on my car allowing cats to get in and spray all over my leather interior not to mention all the dirt that blew into it... I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT SHOP. Definitely one of the worst experiences Ive ever had..

1 /5 Tom Thornell: I took my vehicle to Mike to replace an intake manifold and carb. I had purchased the specialty parts from Summit. Mike said he would do the work in a few days. When I called in a few days he had not started. When I called back in a week he had still not started. When I called back in another week he had not started. When I called back he said since my car was not a daily driver it did not have a high priority. I told him it would be a daily driver if he fixed it. After he had the car for two months I called him again and he said he would have it done by the end of the month (this was on the 13th that I called him). I told him that since it was apparent that he did not want to do the work I would come get my car. So I did. I will not be returning to Mikes Auto Repair.

1 /5 Tom Jones: I took my car to Mikes he said cost would be between $100- $300 for the repairs, went to pick up car same day he said was ready, when I got there Mike was on the phone screaming & cursing at a someone who was complaining about a transmission he rebuilt. the bill was $750 and was not happy to say the least based on the price range he quoted, so I asked to see the old parts he replaced, he said he already threw them away, I had no choice but to pay up, but I took my car the same day to our local FORD dealer, I asked if there was a way to tell if the fuel pump was just replaced, it took then like 30 seconds they took out the back seat cushion and showed me the the gas tank, it was caked with years & years of dust not even a single smudge anywhere so tech determined there was no way the fuel pump was changed out anytime recent,. I told them Mikes Auto Repair did the job & showed them the recent. Thats when they informed me of the many complaints they heard had about Mikes Auto Repair over the years, so I went right back and confronted Mike, he went ballistic cursing me up & down and said sue me. Mike is a CROOK and a total CREEP to boot, I wouldnt be surprised if someone said he ran over a child crossing the street!
