1 /5 Coach Brotherton: ---
My dad was in Kindred Hospital Sugar Land for 12 days, and it was the worst experience imaginable. He was neglected throughout his stay. His cannula was not changed multiple times, making it difficult for him to breathe. When I visited, I found secretions left on his chest, and one time, he was shivering because no one had bothered to cover him with a blanket.
The negligence didn’t stop there. His catheter was placed incorrectly, causing his urine to become bloody. Despite me repeatedly telling the nurse that he was in pain, they only gave him mild over-the-counter medication instead of addressing the real issue. One of the doctors even refused to speak with me because she wasn’t the attending physician—completely dismissing my concerns.
If I hadn’t been there every day, I truly believe my dad’s condition would have worsened even more. The staff showed little to no compassion for patients. I wouldnt recommend this hospital to anyone. If you love your family, do not send them here!
The only positive experience was with OT Mack, who was very helpful and caring. But aside from that, this hospital failed my dad in every way possible.
