5 /5 Brady Williamson: This review is long overdue. Back in March we found ourselves stranded in Fort Davis after a 7 hour drive with a wheel that had nearly come off our car. (Ya, you read that right. One lug nut was the only thing holding the wheel on and two of the wheel studs were snapped completely off.) These guys were the only ones open but were very busy, so we had to wait until the rush was over. They took us in even after their closing hours, totally fixed the wheel, and charged us next to nothing. We expected to be hit with a large bill since we were so desperate and weren’t sure the extent of the damage, but $50 was all they wanted. These guys literally saved us thousands and didn’t even have to help us. Thank you so much for your time, effort, and hospitality.

5 /5 Gerrit Barrere: Due to my poor planning I realized I needed an oil change the evening before we left Ft. Davis. G Automotive cheerfully got me in at 6:30 PM, gave me the synthetic oil I use and a new filter, and I was on my way. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and competent, and I can highly recommend them.

From the moment you walk into the comfort and convenience of the lobby and 1) get a friendly greeting from the check-in staff, 2) throughout the process of getting your vehicle repaired - complete with state-of-the-art pictures, videos, explanation of the status and recommendations, to 3) receiving timely communications and being able to digitally sign off on documents, to 4) having your vehicle test driven before and after repairs, to 5) receiving your vehicle with a full explanation of the repairs, this business embodies efficiency and effectiveness. The service is timely, thorough, and their pricing is incredibly reasonable - especially compared to dealerships. I HIGHLY recommend this business!

They have done us right for over a decade, on cars new and old. I would trust them with a blank check at this point to do whatever they told me needed doing. Dante Moreno: I brought my semi truck to Cortez Car Care for an A/C diagnostic on a hot Texas day. When I dropped it off, the windows were down — it was dry at the time — and I entrusted the vehicle to their care. Later that day, after a heavy rainstorm, I was informed that the truck was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I discovered the interior was soaked: the seat, floorboard, and door panels were all visibly wet. When I politely asked a technician if they could provide anything to help clean the mess, I was met with hostility and raised voices rather than assistance. I then attempted to speak with the owner directly, only to receive a dismissive “AND” — with no apology, no responsibility taken, and no effort to make the situation right. To make matters worse, my keys could not be located for an extended period. While I waited, a staff member made an inappropriate and condescending remark: “You’re still here?” Later, she attempted to shift blame onto me for the windows being down — despite the fact that the truck had been in their possession the entire time. At no point did anyone acknowledge responsibility, offer an apology, or propose a solution. The entire experience was marked by unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. For a business whose slogan is “Where honesty and service meet,” I experienced neither.

Jose Mendoza: Brought car in to troubleshoot ac system. They diagnosed the problem as a bad blend door actuator and quoted $1800 to replace because the dash had to be removed. It took me 1 youtube video and 20 seconds to confirm blend door actuator was working fine and could easily be replaced without removing dash. Decided to pursue my ac repairs elsewhere.
