Ellen Trout Zoo - Lufkin (TX)

5 /5 Clint Alford: This zoo is just the right size for a family day out without wearing you out! Very friendly staff, drink machines through the park, and a snack bar to get some refreshments! Plenty of amazing animals and exhibits to feast your eyes on and the train ride is a blast for young and old! Highly recommend this place for any size family!

5 /5 Ruthe Myers: Were in Lufkin visiting family and came to the Ellen Trout Zoo for an excursion. We enjoyed it, even if the weather kept some of the animals from not wanting to be out and active. We look forward to coming back on one of our next visits.

5 /5 Julie Pedraza Gomez: Wonderful zoo, animals are very near you. Smaller zoo than in the big cities, so kids definitely enjoyed it. Walking was enjoyable, not tiring. But definitely a large variety of animals. Will travel and visit here again.

4 /5 Andrew Nicholas: Its not a huge zoo, but its also not super expensive. Quite a few exhibits were closed for various renovations, but a good number were still open. They have a decent variety of animals, and some good exhibits to see. If the train is running, youve gotta ride it, just because who wouldnt want to ride a mini train? Perfect zoo to come to for an hour or two to hang out at with kids or friends!

5 /5 Brittany XoXo: Its nice that it provides alot of shade as ur walking through, especially in the summer. I only wish they would number their trails. The price of one ticket you would pay somewhere else is what I paid for the price of two tickets here. They could use to add something new to their concession stand. We always enjoy it and of course the train is the main attraction.
