4 /5 Alexandria Kaske: Very pretty area. Picnic table was broken. Porta potty for absolute emergency bathroom, but was very gross. Watch out for the resident alligators that are there. Beach area is fully oysters, so dont plan on letting kids or pets play around the water.

5 /5 David Hesterly: Beach walk was great, but caution must be taken to walk along the shoreline because of the oyster shells-wear shoes! Be watchful for alligators even though we didn’t see any on our adventure. Overall we did see many jellyfish and wading shore birds such as the Eastern Great Egret, Sandhill Cranes and a large Blue Heron. We will be back in the future to do more exploring! A wonderful place that isn’t overcrowded…

4 /5 Keith Herbert: Great place to watch the sunset. Be careful if you have dogs, the shells are very sharp. Our dog got a nasty gash on her foot, requiring vetinary attention.

4 /5 Roamer222: Great free bay access park for fishing or kayak launch. Appears to be a gradual slope for wade fishing but I would be cautious as there are a lot of alligator sightings at the park. The ground near the water is nice and level for chairs or to bring a fishing wagon. The was a portable toilet but nowhere to wash your hands or clean fish. Over great small park.

5 /5 Jeremy Bushnell: Such a cool place to sit and enjoy the water while watching the airplanes! Keep an eye out for the Vintage Air Tours biplane! It flies right over your head coming in to land!

The Big Tree - Rockport

Cristina Etchells: We came to see this lovely 1,000 year old live oak right before sunset. It is surrounded by a fence & a paved sidewalk. Steel (?) wires and poles are used to keep the branches up. Be careful not to brush your ankles with the nettle at the base of the fence—it can sting, itch & burn. There was no one in the parking lot except one other vehicle & a patron in a golf cart with his dog. It’s quite peaceful to walk around & be amongst all of the other trees too. Some laid low enough for kids to climb.

Christy Jedlicka: What a fabulous experience. So relaxing with a slow paddle under the stars. Plenty of lighting to see the marine life under us. Felt very safe with the guides. Absolutely a "BUCKET LIST" item for sure. Will be talking about this trip for a long time. Wonderful memories made on the water with Glowrow.

Lucy Park - Wichita Falls

Kessler Schona (Photographer Duncan OK): Watch video for more info. Signage not great. Tons of walking paths. The falls is a fun little walk about a mile. Goose and duck pond is hubbys favorite. Rope bridge my fave.

River Bend Nature Center - Wichita Falls

Evan Lang: Great experience, there are trails out back and animals to see indoors, also microscopes to play with indoors. Accessible paths in the back and short dirt paths but main path is paved fully wheelchair accessible. Nice gift shop as well. Only $5 for students and military.

Roberta Peek: Love these Worlds Largest roadside attractions. Had to stop. Yep its a huge shovel. Pretty cool.

Lake Arrowhead State Park - Wichita Falls

Laura & Company: Beautiful well maintained State Park. Friendly informative Staff! Great fishing pier, docks, boat launch into Lake Arrowhead, challenging Disc Golf Course, Equestrian arena with optional camping for traveling with horse trailer, many trails non difficult and easy to enjoy the Nature that inhabits the Park. Did I mention the darkest skies to enjoy the Texas Stars!! Smaller yes with the bonus of quiet camping and relaxing Texas hospitality especially winter camping!! Something so Texas about having an oil hit and miss engine softly whispering its tune!!

Larry McMurtry Literary Center - Archer City

Joshua Potts: Its a blessing this place is still open. Larry is one of my all-time favorite authors and the collection he and others amassed at this place is beyond anything Ive ever seen. I cant recommend it enough. The staff are always very helpful and will go above and beyond to answer any questions for you. I love this place so much.

The Worlds Littlest Skyscraper - Wichita Falls
