3 /5 beyondTabu: It has so much potential. It desperately needs some TLC. The wood is starting to succumb to the weather and the rails and joints are rusty, which could be a hazard for the kids. I’m sure it was amazing for the first couple years after opening, but now it’s in dire need of renovations.

5 /5 chris kunkel: This park is pretty action-packed. The 2 playgrounds are pretty big and there is a wooden train to play on too. Kids are always asking if else can go to the train park. There are also some grassy areas perfect for watching the kids or having picnics.

5 /5 Denise Trejo: Our kids are now 10 and 12 and they still enjoy this park. There’s plenty of climbing, balancing and hanging fixtures and swings for older kids and another fixtures geared more toward littler kids.

1 /5 Doria Rosa: This park is no longer accessible to the public. It is listed as a public park, on Google and on the official COH list, however the neighborhood has locked it down. It was not always this way. I assume the citizens of Houston are continuing to pay for it, however, there is now a keypad on the gate, and not all are welcome. If it has been designated a private park, it should be removed from the City Parks List, and private members of the Heights Association should be paying for it. It was gross to visibly witness children and families being turned away. Also it is on a major bike trail stop, which entices families biking the trail to play, only to be locked out.

5 /5 Angela Skees: Small but very nice. Kids love the wooden playground castle and train. Few swings, picnic table. No bathrooms but enough stores about to get a coffee and let kids pee.

Skylawn - Houston

Keithia Toles: This was a cool spot. There was a food court inside with lively decor/architecture. I visited to attend an event at the Skylawn on the rooftop. It was nice. A DJ was playing music and there was a pop up mini bar and gelato stand. The view of the downtown Houston skyline was amazing!

Downtown Houston Tunnel System - Houston

Ian Murillo: It is a very good place to walk through the city without crossing streets or having sunburns. It is closed after evening and not open on weekends for safety, but open to the public during the day, it has A/C, big halls and easy to understand routes, it also has access to several buildings, and even has some underground food areas, restrooms and office spaces. Real cool and useful infrastructure.

Cascade at The Wortham - Houston

Dario Chavez: The Cascade Fountain at the Wortham Theater is a great place to take a date or just go for a stroll day or night. When in downtown I definitely recommend visiting. Its also a great place to take photos.

Historic Donnellan Family Crypt - Houston

Monica Foster, Broker: While there isnt much to see here, other than the opening of what was the Donnellan Family Crypt, what I love about this is the history of the Donnellan Family and the crypt itself. It has me pondering what life was like back then, when Houston was just a town. While the familys remains were removed over a century ago, its still a really neat place to pay a visit to if you find yourself walking, jogging, or biking past it. So many secrets and treasures can be found along the banks of the Buffalo Bayou, and this is certainly one of them!

Asia Society Texas Center - Houston

Melvin Maya: Last week I visited with a couple of friends. We grabbed a bite to eat inside and then began to work our way through the entire experience. Its a very nice and well thought out building. You gain a little insight to each of the different Asian cultures with the interactive displays. There was also a phenomenal exhibit at the time we visited. At the time of this review, Thursdays are free entry. Definitely worth a visit and I plan to go back again.

JeAnna Redd: Got here an hour before closing. Eek! Ms. Theresa greeted us so warm and kindly. She explained the layout, artist on display, and the activity upstairs. We had a really nice time. It’s always free, but worth donations.
