1 /5 Shara Hesskew: I loved the ER visit, but I loathe the office by Maverick Grill. They turned us away due to not having the copay and refused to bill us. My daughter was sick with a fever over a week, a cough, phlegm, and I had just gotten out of the ER a few weeks prior due to breathing issues and was concerned she may have had the same thing, so I wanted to get her treated before it became an emergency. I also wanted to make sure it wasn’t pneumonia since I had gotten pneumonia at the same age and my lungs have been broken since! I didn’t want the same thing to happen to her. I was broke and could not afford it until I got paid. They refused. I called and they said Bianca Perez, the manager, would not allow unless at least half was paid. There was a sick child in need of assistance in avoiding a situation before it potentially became an emergency and they did not care. Heartless monster!! We are changing doctors and never returning to that facility! How can anyone turn away a sick child?! DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
