Comanche Trail Park - Big Spring (TX)

4 /5 Deb Woodard: Great community park and so much to do. We appreciated the free overnight rv spots (no hookups, not very level, but at the price-free-- theres nothing to complain about). We felt safe and slept well. Bigger rigs (like us) will want to proceed carefully at the entrance, and be aware theres no turnaround loop. Since it was virtually empty, we were able to maneuver into a fairly level space at the bottom of the hill without difficulty. This is adjacent to a golf course, and if it was open, wed definitely like to make use of the aquatics center.

5 /5 Savanna Scott: Ive enjoyed this park since I was a little kid. A lot of the times the grass is dead and there are no real plants to be found alive (except weeds and mesquite), but if you go after a good rain youll see so many beautiful things sprouted over night. The old spring has turtles in it; the spring itself is non-functional now but its still a gorgeous area to see anyway. You can walk, bbq, and picnic here. It has a playground, amphitheatre x2, baseball field, and plenty of pavilions to sit under. Its dog friendly, just please be sure to pick up after them and keep them on a leash. Good park :)
