5 /5 Nancy Carlson: Bill Johnson park is a very nice, small, neighborhood park. It is a hidden jewel in an old, established neighborhood.
Its within walking and bicycle range for children in the neighborhood near Hook Elementary School and apartments and houses near Tarleton State University.
Its a perfect destination place for young children to ride bicycles with parents and caregivers. It has simple playground equipment and a couple of benches for resting before the ride back home.
Its near a railroad track, but a safe distance away. Perfect for watching the irregularly scheduled trains that go through Stephenville. If you are looking for a small, very well maintained park to take children for an outdoor adventure, this is the best place!
