2 /5 Jeff Jensen: I called to get a quote to install a new spring pack on the back of my F150.
I was given a quote which I thought was reasonable for replacement.
However, when I picked up my truck they has installed a Super Spring overload on my truck, not a full spring pack.
When I got home and started to inspect what they had put on I discovered it was not what I had expected and the original quote in my opinion would have been much less. In addition I discovered that all hardware was not tightened and the sway bar had not been adjusted as it should have been.
I took it back and ask them to correct the issues which they did to my satisfaction.
When I first called about the expectation that I thought we were installing a complete spring pack not an overload there was no backtracking on what I had believed I was getting. I was told the wrong part number and looked at what had been installed was correct...but would have been several hundred dollars less. They continued to maintain the pricing was correct.
I believe the communication was not good, the parts were not what I was expecting, and the pricing was at least 50 - 80% higher then it should have been for what I got.
The breakdown for parts and labor was not done, and I didnt get any warranty certificate and specific parts listed on the invoice should I ever have an issue with these.
Im spent my entire career in the equipment repair business and I want businesses to make money and I will gladly pay for what I want but I dont want to be mislead and overcharged for services that I expect to be done as discussed and done completely.
