3 /5 Benny Benson: I really liked the Sunday services when I used to go here (but the temperature was extremely cold so we wore winter clothes every week). The main problem was the youth ministry, I left because of one of the “leaders” who publicly embarrassed me.
He asked if anyone had an example of Christian’s dying for their faith excluding events in the Bible. I raised my hand and mentioned an event I had heard about at a Christian summer camp they summer prior. He said, and I quote exactly, “that’s stupid, that didn’t happen. It was probably something you dreamed and thought happened”. Dude, you don’t know everything, if you haven’t heard of an event just say that, I don’t claim to know about every martyr ever, you shouldn’t either. And especially don’t do it in a way that embarrassed a, then 14 year old in front of the entire guys youth group. Our family hasn’t been back since and now goes to Grace church on the other side of Allen which we love, their youth group is much better.
