Americas Choice Automotive - Sugar Land Hope Steen: I am very disappointed in this place. I went there for a free AC check, knowing that nothing is ever free. At first, I tried to make an appointment and was told that there was no need to make an appointment as long as I showed up when they opened at 8 a.m. I would be the first one served. I showed up at 7:45 a.m. and waited until they opened up their doors and checked in. By 8:15 they had not come and got my car yet. I then watched as a lady pulled in behind me and walked inside. 15 minutes later, they came out and got her car first, so I went inside and asked why am I not being the first one being brought back to the back when I was the first one there. The employee, in an unfriendly tone, stated theyre coming to get your car now. A couple of minutes later a gentleman came out and told me that my car was too low on freon for them to do the "free test" and that I would have to pay $210 to put freon in it before they can even do the test. I opted out and went to another mechanic shop who said I was low on Freon and only charged me $60 to recharge my car which fixed the issue.
I knew something was wrong when they wanted to charge me three times the normal amount, so I know never to come back to this place again between the attitude and the prices.
