Julie Wollen: Thoroughly enjoyed our pirate cruise! We took 2 grandsons ages 6 and 4 and their parents. The pirates were fun and gentle. They made it fun for the kids and really tried to engage them as they put the boys through pirate training. The 6 year old ate it up! As a side benefit, the adults saw lots of dolphins on the way back into the harbor.
Christina Varnell: Gorgeous views! Observation deck overlooking the water, where we spotted dolphins and sea turtles. The restrooms were very clean as well. Will definitely return to this spot.
Elis Mom: It is beautiful and relaxing. I like the art displays and location. Others that were visiting were friendly as well. A great view of the iconic bridge. I wish the fountain was on. That is why I rated only 4 stars.
Jenny Milczewski: Pretty nice beach. Amazing views of the USS Lexington and the Corpus Christi city skyline. There are a few gift shops, restaurants, and condos/hotels along the beach too. And theres a rental booth for kayaks and jet skis right on the beach near N Shoreline Blvd and Coastal Ave. Parking is available for $0.25 per 20 minutes in metered spots. There is also a parking lot between Palace Beachwear & Gifts and Splash Clothing Store on N Shoreline Blvd offering full day parking for $5 (I went on a Saturday, so Im not sure about parking during the week).
I read somewhere that there was a ferris wheel here but I did not see it. Compared to Holiday Beach in Port A this beach (and Corpus Christi as a whole) seemed a little dirty run down: many boarded up and closed down shops and a few vagrants.
Overall it was a very nice day.
L.E. Decker: The sunset ride was a surprise for my birthday. We had such a great time and will definitely recommend to others. I love that you use rescued horses! Please consider adding a cashless way to tip guides. They were great!!
Kristen Rivera: Fun little stop off to stretch your legs on a road trip, snap a few great photos , and if prepared participate in the fun. Be aware as is the surroundings, youre in the open so be prepared for uneven ground and heat. Its conveniently located off the access road at the mouth of a neighborhood so theres easy parking.
Neil Harrietha: This is a great place to stop.It is free. You can park your motor home, or youre tractor trailer. It is right beside I-40. Easy to get on and off the interstate. You can buy spray paint there.
