4 /5 Bryan Stanley: Perryβs is a great Sugar Land option for βfineβ dining. We went for Christmas dinner and were seated nearly 45 minutes after our confirmed reservation.
The food was tasty and well presented although the Mac & Cheese was rather dry.
We ordered french onion soup which had a very nice crusty cheese top, but the soup itself lacked flavor, and the deep soup bowl with small entry made it somewhat difficult to use the spoon to savor the remaining 1/3.
If you eat the bread do so as soon as it is served warm - if you wait too long it cools and is not so tasty.
I ordered the Cedar plank red fish which was nicely presented although somewhat dry and glazed with a honey sauce that is too sweet.
The Chateaubriand and Prime Rib were cooked to our preference and exceeded expectations as did the grilled asparagus and creamed spinach.
The deserts received an honorable mention, but β¦. Nothing to be amazed by and the server also got the desserts wrong.
We had a great time, although if seeking a truly fine dining experience there are other restaurants in Houston that may impress more.
