El fogon - Laredo (TX)

5 /5 Rene Maya: El Fogon is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is cheap but don’t let that fool you, it is simply delicious. They have daily specials like Mexican hot dogs and beef piratas that make the most popular Mexican restaurants look amateur. The place is BYOB on top of everything so it is a must try for anyone with taste buds!

5 /5 Tom S: This was hands down the best food Ive found in Laredo. The tacos al pastor were perfect. Their birria has just the right amount of tang and spice. The salsa bar has plenty of options for every level of flavor/spice. The wait staff is extremely kind and helpful no matter what language you speak. With a large menu I guarantee youll find something you love.

I ordered the Machacado à la Mexicana which came with refried beans,bacon and a side order of papas also À la Mexicana.Loved everything BUT the beans tasted like they came from a can.
