5 /5 Uri Heller: Ambra exceeded expectations across the board. Service was impeccable, and I have to give specific credit to our waiter Axa, who was completely on point the entire evening. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and our drinks never hit bottom. His recommendations were spot-on.
We started with the tuna tartare, crispy rice with salmon, and the wood fired oysters. The oysters had that classic Rockefeller preparation with a smoky char and grilled lemon that elevated them beyond the usual. The crispy rice with its teriyaki glaze and ikura was also a standout.
For mains: my son had the salmone over grana padano creamy orzo, rich without being heavy. My wife went with the New York strip, beautifully executed. I ordered the wagyu skirt steak with Kona coffee rub and aji mashed potatoes, and that coffee crust on the wagyu was phenomenal. We added burnt Brussels sprouts and grilled asparagus for the table.
Dessert sealed it. The blueberry basque cheesecake was creamy with just enough tang from the goat cheese, and the toffee butter cake with that bourbon butterscotch was the perfect finish.
Everything was outstanding. Will absolutely be back.
