2 /5 William Carlos Angulo: This is basically an overpriced Applebees or TGIFriday’s. We made a reservation for six and they seated us in the back/side room.
When we sat down we noticed the table was warped and coming apart, but they wouldn’t reseat us. (See photo of the warping and broken tiles/paneling whatever you call it.)
They put our napkins in our laps, but didn’t provide water service (we had to ask multiple times for water for the table) didn’t put the drinks over the right-side utensils, or serve from the right/clear from the left, or do any other service details you’d expect at an expensive restaurant.
The ceasar salad was prepared table-side and was passable but a bit overdressed. The burger had a nice crust, but was overcooked. I’m glad I decided to go in that direction, because after the situation with the table, I wasn’t going to trust them to cook me a steak.
My friends all ordered steaks. The server had us all cut our meat in the middle when it arrived to check for doneness - tacky.
Do not order a martini, old fashioned, or any other type of classic cocktail. There’s clearly no one behind the bar with real training. Our martinis came and they were pink. Who even knows why.
Our server was distant and uncommunicative. It was hard to get his attention. He cleared plates and glasses before they were empty and didn’t ask if we wanted dessert. We couldn’t find him after our meal so we ultimately decided to leave without desserts or coffee. We asked him three times for the check, and it finally came 25 min later.
Loved the bathrooms - the mouthwash in the nice decanter was a great touch.
Ultimately, it’s another corporate restaurant with furniture sourced at wayfair with mediocre food and terrible service… not worth the price.
