I felt bad for coming during lunch time, but I could never tell if I inconvenienced anyone because they were so nice and attentive to what I needed. Chris helped me today and he was the best! Jonai Lloyd I recently purchased a Groupon for an full synthetic oil change on November 7th. Per the Groupon, their original oil change price is $79.99, which in my experience is pretty average for a full synthetic oil change. I purchased the Groupon for $42.92. I called on November 14th to schedule an appointment. I was told by the employee on the phone “to just come whenever”. I arrive to the shop the next day on November 15th around 2:05pm. Curtis, the technician, took my keys and began working on my car around 2:15pm. I had no issues while they were working on my car. Curtis even showed me where I had two nails in my tire and showed me that my CV axle was leaking, thank you for that. My issue came afterwards, when it was time for me to check out. When it was time to check out, I was charged an additional $21.22 (14.99 for the oil filter and 4.99 for oil disposal). So in theory, I paid $42.92 just for my old oil to be drained and new oil to be put back into my car. I drive a 2015 Toyota RAV 4 and usually go to the dealership for my oil changes. However, once in a while when I come across a deal, I will buy that deal to support that business. In all my times getting oil changes, I have NEVER been charge an additional fee for the filter or for disposal of the oil. This SHOULD and HAS alway been included in the overall price. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and asked why I was being charged additional I was told because I had a “specialty” filter. Once again, I have never been charged additional for an oil filter. The filter has always been included in the price no matter the type of filter “I have”. After a few moments of going back-and-forth with the owner he removed the $14.99 and stated “I’m not going to get rich off your $14.99” and “to make you happy”. I want to make it very clear, that this is not about the money. I felt that this was very dishonest and deceitful to charge someone additional to what they have already paid. Even after he removed the $14.99, he still tried to charge me the $4.99 for the disposal of the oil. I asked him if he had change for a $50 bill and the then told me “to have a nice day”. Throughout us going back and forth, he stated that he changed his oil change prices from $80 to $54.88 to reflect the additional charges. This is probably a sell technique, but in my opinion, this is very deceptive. If you’re going to charge someone additional fees at the end of their visit, you might as well include that in the overall price. This is very deceptive to have customers thinking that they’re going to be paying one price, just to find out they’re gonna be paying another. And to reiterate, it’s not about the money and having to pay an addition $20 but rather about the principal of the situation. I have been an avid Groupon user since 2014 and I have never had to pay anything additional outside of the Groupon. Please choose better practices. I have included pictures of the additional fees, oil change prices, my redeemed Groupon, and the “comparison” of the different filters.

Punkie TheGreat They definitely know what theyre doing. It has taken me time to find a genuine place that isnt trying to scam me. They are just trying to fix vehicles. Last year I went to fix three different things, and Im back today to get my baby checked out again. My van is very important to my family and I, so being able to find a place where quality meets genuine work, is fantastic! They give free diagnosis, and will print off the work for you and explain in detail whats most important to least important for your car. They dont try to up-sell you for anything either. Something I can appreciate.

I took my car there because it kept dying on the road.They told me that my car wasnt worth fixing because there were metal flakes in my oil and my motor was going out. When I went to pick up my car it was also drained of gas for no reason and the explanation was that it was parked up a hill ????? I took my car to BRAKES PLUS in McKinney off 380 and they had my car up and running the next day. They replaced O2 sensor wiring and even showed me the old parts. My motor is in good shape and my car runs great.

The team here was so thorough, giving me a package of information including details and pictures of all the components of the car, and they walked me through all of my concerns. It not only made me feel confident about purchasing the car, but I brought the report back to the dealership and showed them the 2k in urgent work that needed to be done and was able to negotiate with them to get the work done before purchase! The waiting room was also very comfortable. I was in there for 90 minutes with a 3-year-old, but they had a kids area with toys and some snacks/drinks and we had no trouble at all!

Dafne Wineroth Won’t be back. Don’t let the name fool you. Not honest or transparent at all. I came in with a vapor valve needing to be replaced, something I knew because I used my error code reader. Sure, still charged me $185 for diagnosis. Thought I was getting taken for a ride by my Carmax warranty because they were only willing to pay $66 towards the $160 charge for the part. Turns out that is exactly what the part retails for, checked AutoZone and genuine Chevy parts online. This place doubled down, they reserve the right to mark up the parts as they choose on some margin they weren’t able to disclose to me, wouldn’t tell me how much they paid for my part, just that they weren’t gonna budge on what they charged me. Ladies, make sure you ask ALL the questions, don’t let anyone think you don’t know what you’re talking about before you leave your car with a mechanic shop like this one.

Matthew Berg Waited over 5-minutes with no attendant coming to greet me in spite of a prominent sign instructing me to wait in my car for an attendant. Three different employees looked over and scowled at me with no attempt to say that I’d be helped soon. I came to the conclusion that if they are not interested in helping a customer in a timely fashion that I’m not interested in being their customer. I backed up slowly and drove away, and again there was no acknowledgment that their neglect was losing them a customer. I went just a little west on 380 and found Take 5 oil change where I was greeted immediately and serviced quickly and spent less than 10 minutes total over there from greeting to settling the bill.

After a recommendation from a friend, I have to say even living 30 minutes away, I wont be bringing my truck anywhere else. The staff here is friendly, genuine and gets the work done.
