1 /5 Gabriela Mireles: I have gone by multiple times to cancel my membership. Each time I am told the only person who can cancel is not there. I went 3 weeks ago during business hours and the young lady at the front desk was very unsure on how to handle the situation however she proceeded to print out a cancellation form and said she would see that the manager gets it and I would receive an email notifying me that the membership has been cancelled. Almost 3 weeks later I call to follow up, speak to someone who identified himself as the general manager of sales. Said there was no notice of cancellation and he would see to it that the manager was made aware the following day. I called back today and had to explain all over again to whoever answered the phone just to be told the manager was there however it’s her last day and she doesn’t have credentials to cancel my membership. She made sure to tell me that cancellations were don’t in person to which I replied that I was very well aware of that due to already going in person and it not being handled correctly.
I don’t understand why this club is making it so difficult for a member to cancel. I highly doubt my $35 a month will make a huge impact on the business but then again there are far nicer gyms coming into the picture so maybe they are trying to cling on to whatever memberships they can.
Either way. This needs to be resolved.
