Anitra Edwards Nikki is amazing! There are very limited selections of hair stylists in Austin, specifically for natural black hair. Nikki was recommended by a friend about 2 years ago. After meeting her and working with her a handful of times, I keep coming back and have now referred 4+ people to her. She communicates efficiently, is ALWAYS on time, does a great job, clearly enjoys her passion, is easy to talk to/kind, affordable/fair prices, and easily accessible location. One of the best hair stylists in Austin!!

Tori Bueno I’ve been coming to Daisy for years now to get my nails done! And I’m in love with her work and art! Jessica has recently done my teen daughters facial, and she loved every part of. Will be scheduling my own facial with naked face very soon. Forever Beauty Lounge is amazing, you can get so much done in one place, which I love! Definitely recommend

Vonnie G Daisy is the absolute best in the business. I don’t trust ANYONE else with my nails and have continued going to her for almost 2 years now. Her gem work is unmatched and she thoroughly takes her time on each client to ensure full satisfaction. The shape is always perfect and my nails are always on point when I see Daisy. I also enjoy coming in to Forever Beauty Lounge because of the cute, comfortable and sanitary environment. I’m always greeted and asked if I’d like a beverage which makes me feel relaxed while enjoying my service and time in their space. 10/10 highly recommend!!!!

Angie Shepard I absolutely love Layer Salon! Tricia is absolutely amazing with blondes and especially helping to cover my grays in a very natural way. She’s amazing with my fine and rather thin hair too! My daughter sees Nick who is absolutely a rockstar and does amazing things with her long hair and is an expert at highlighting and long layered cuts! I absolutely love Michelle who helps with everything in the salon and Jean who runs it. Everyone there is so welcoming and extremely talented!

Shera Eichler Dan has been working his magic on my complicated short, platinum ‘do for years. He’s masterful. And has a shining personality to match. I shall never stray. My daughters have also had cut and color with almost all the stylists and never had a bad outcome. Talent and experience abound at Layer Beauty. Scheduling is a breeze and you can also expect a smile & warm welcome from the staff. My favorite part of Layer Beauty Boutique (aside from Dan, of course) is that it offers luxurious, high-end results in a beautiful yet comfortable and approachable environment. Nothing stuffy or pretentious here. The best of the best.

Michelle Nemirovsky I’m really picky about my brows, so when I moved to Austin I searched for the best shaper and so glad I found Lindsey. She does an amazing job and has a super cute studio. Its a little far from where I live but so worth it!

Elise Martin I’m so happy with my powder brows! I first went to see Lindsay a year and a half ago to get brows. She was so helpful in getting me the look I wanted. I got so many compliments on my new look. I recently went back to get them refreshed and once again the same great experience. I highly recommend her.

TK I love Danny Flawless - he’s an incredible artist with lots of experience and knowledge. He’s the only person in Austin who understands my hair and gets the color right every time. I trust him completely and I love his work. Thank you Danny for making me feel amazing.

Terrie Leyton Amanda does my niece’s hair and it always looks great. I had to see what she could do with my mess. She faded the horrible grey line that is growing in over previously dyed hair and put in highlight, lowlights, and a toner to soften it all. I think it’s fábulas!

My very favorite thing about this salon is booking with Amanda Wilburn. I’ve booked cuts, color, extensions, and blowouts. She makes magic happen each time and I trust her guidance with all things hair! She shares info, tips, tricks, and products that prove she cares about the health of my hair. Sonia Prasad Maraiah is kind and professional...I went to her for lash extensions and they looked beautiful! She was precise and gentle...felt like a butterfly was putting lashs on me! She is also responsive with texts if you have questions..I got compliments on my lashes and would definitely schedule a session with her again!

Vi B Maraiah is amazing! She took such good care of me for my lash lift and eyebrow shaping. I was needing a pampered spa experience and I got it. I even dozed off during the services which shows how calm and relaxing everything the whole thing was. My lashes and brows look perfect, and I can’t wait to go back!

Routie Assistant Maraiah is amazing, very sweet and extremely professional. I after moving to the Austin area from Houston, I had a hard time finding a lash tech that listened to my wants and preference of lashes, and application technique. She not only listened, but did an excellent job of ensuring that when she applied my lashes they were to my preference by looking at previous photos and hearing how I liked them applied, and what my expectations were. Her studio is very professional and extremely clean! I would highly recommend her!!

Ali Pinaire I am thrilled with my experience at Wild Orchid. After living in Austin for 10 years, Ive finally found my go-to hair stylist. Becky O did an incredible job with my highlights, matching them perfectly to my skin tone and making them look very natural. The haircut was exactly what I asked for. I left the salon feeling so confident, and I’ve received many compliments in the 1.5 weeks since Becky did my hair. She is great at what she does. Kaitlin Ramirez Unfortunately had a bad experience with a full balayage coloring service from Ashley Kniffin that left my hair with orange / dark yellow chunks despite walking through that I wanted a natural warm blonde tone and looking at a photo from Pinterest during a pre-appointment consultation. Ashley was nice to fix some of the areas after my appointment and I was scheduled to come in for a 3rd time to tone and blend more but my appointment as canceled last minute and I was told I would have to see a different stylist and pay on top of the $400 I already spent to fix it. Now Im left with hair that needs to be fixed by another salon right before the holidays. Please do yourself a favor and do not make the mistake I did; go to a different salon.

Mary Anna Nguyen Today was our first visit and we had Ashley as our stylist. She was absolutely amazing. She was so warm, welcoming and so kind to my daughter. We definitely can’t wait to visit her again soon. Ashley, you’re an incredible human being! Keep shining like the the star you are!

Im Me Easily 5 stars! Really cute salon, but more importantly the service is top drawer & the results are fab-u-lush. Cynthia is a wonder woman in both color & cut & a doll to spend time with while you’re there! She delivers exactly what you want & more than you were expecting. She’s truly one of the best all time hairdressers I’ve ever ver gone to (LA, Chicago, Dallas including here in Austin). You will love her as much as her long list of clients do!

David Ruth Deliah is the third stylist Ive had since moving to Austin. I think I finally hit the jackpot. She actually listened to what I needed and gave me a great cut for my short hair. And my teen daughter with long curly hair adores her. Fantastic stylist!

Sara Davies My go to for more than 10 years... Well the same colorist and cutter. Both Becky and Hailey are true artists and I consider them both friends. I dont trust anyone else with my hair anymore.

Cj Gomie To begin this was my first time going to a stylist. I would always Choose a barber and they never got it just right. Either it was shorter, higher faded, or just down right sloppy. Was referred to Linda by a friend and was the best decision I ever had. Linda took care of my hair and taught me how to take care of it as well. And ever since then my hair has been flawless. I appreciate Linda and everything she has done and if anyone is reading this give her a try she is wonderful, professional, and cares about her customers.

Dave Schulze I really love vibe here. Admittedly, I shaved my own head for the last 10 years. It was a matter of convenience and a way for me to avoid turning grey and showing baldness. I will say that when I was younger, I appreciated the experience of a well-styled cut. Hailey helped me believe that I could look good by growing my hair out. She works with the shape of my face and my high hairline and cowlicks. People comment how much younger I look and I must say it is quite fun styling my hair everyday again, not the hassle I thought it would be. I enjoy the easily accessible location and the vibe in the space. It has good energy - happy stylists & clients, good coffee, and great music! I see myself going here for many years to come!

Olyver Delacruz Went here and got a great experience/cut. I don’t usually like getting my haircut because of the risk of it getting messed up, but here, Erez did a great job and knew what he was doing. I would definitely trust him with my hair again.

Mikayla Conde I went into the salon and right away i felt a good energy!! I asked for a trim and hair dye and got way much more as a bday gift from him, he did and amazing job and loved the outcome. would totally recommend to anyone looking for a good hair salon!! He has 2 dogs and they are very playful and cute and are very good company, he sat them right next to me which i loved. He offered me and my dad some homemade coffee which was amazing! 10/10.

hunti boi This is one of the best haircuts I’ve received in a while. I recently colored my hair and he knew exactly what I needed to even out the color. He was very thorough and his attention to detail was like no other. I highly recommend this salon for a haircut if you want to impress everyone in your life. He also has the cutest and most well behaved dogs.

Ellie Sohn I went to windy hair salon. Got haircut and perm. Its little pricy but money will worth every single penny. Got so much compliments. And if you are not satisfied or wanting to trim more, they will always get another appointment for you for that.

Nicole Reviews I go to Mamta Sah for my eyebrow threading and she is incredible! I’m very picky about my eyebrows and I refuse to let anyone, but her, touch them. I have gone to Mamta to have them threaded multiple times, and every single time they come out perfect. I’ve never had a bad experience (thin brows, unevenness) when coming here. She is also incredibly sweet and welcoming and always makes me feel at home when I come to see her. She takes her time when she’s working on your brows and her patience and attention to detail definitely shows in her work. Another huge plus is how clean her studio is. If you’re big on cleanliness like I am, this is the place for you because she keeps everything sterile and cleans in between clients which a lot of other threading places fail to do. Highly recommend her!!

Rick Snider Id give this company a ZERO if I could. Ive attempted to contact the Austin region representative through the corporate web site and through their personal phone number. No responses have ever come through. I realize that there may not be any suites available for rent, but I expect the common courtesy of at least a return phone call or e-mail. Glad I did not rent a suite from them as I would probably have a poor experience with maintenance and other concerns if they cant even return a phone call. AVOID.

Briana Ovations by Vicki is the first salon I’d ever been to in Austin & I feel no need to look any further for any other hair stylist. She is very good at what she does. My hair was in bad shape when I went in, but I left feeling so much better about myself because my hair looked amazing. Also her salon was just a good welcoming environment. Good conversation was had which is always a plus when getting your hair done.

Generz OxO They are a good cut for the price. They are conveniently located near my office, so I get cuts there about once per month. Typically a short line. Recommended.

Caroline Brammer I wish I could get my hair cut every week because Amys shampoo packs the punch of a full-body massage. Her consultation was also thorough, and she tailored the cut to my fine/wavy hair type. Its the best lived-in haircut Ive ever gotten, and its grown out so cute. Im going again soon for a refresh!

Carrie I have been going to Little Sister Salon for over 10 years now! As a curly girl, I know it can be difficult to find someone that is skilled at cutting curly hair. Little Sister Salon has several curly hair specialists. Marisol is my hairstylist and she is wonderful! So sweet and highly skilled at what she does. All of the other staff are friendly and the place has a chill vibe. I love the decor and the beautiful fiddle leaf fig named Hector. Highly recommend!

Zoe O’neill Gracie is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. Me being a teenager at the time she was doing my hair I always wanted to keep up with the latest hair trends, gracie always new what I was talking about and did exactly what I had in mind. Not only was she able to do that but she also was able to match hair colors that better matched my complexion so it looked natural. The first picture being a before and the rest being after. Beyond beautiful colors and dimension!

Natalie Stambro Having lived in Austin most of my life, I’ve tried just about every salon in town, but Headspace is on another level. I can confidently say I’ll never go anywhere else. That’s all thanks to Taylor B., who is truly a hair magician. I have never received more compliments on my hair in my entire life. Since seeing her, anytime I leave the house with my hair done, I get stopped by actual strangers asking where I go. Not only is her work the best, but I genuinely like spending that time with her. She’s sweet, funny, and so easy to talk to, which makes those long blonding sessions fly by. If you’re looking for a stylist who will make you constantly complimented, Taylor is the one.
