Erika Aldrich Murga I love my stylist, Alex. She has been getting my hair cut for 8 years now. =) The hair wash ritual, especially the hot towel and essential oils, is relaxing. That is a unique service I havent experienced anywhere else.

Casey Cobb I love the relaxing atmosphere and the lively attitude of all of the workers! Everyone seems so happy that you are there and excited to leave you feeling your best. Bryson tailors your haircut to best suit your individual style. I highly recommend him!

K M Did the salon change ownership? I used to love booking blow outs here because you could book last minute and always get an amazing blow out regardless of which stylist you had. My last few appointments have been super hit or miss, and the risk doesn’t feel worth it given their prices are so much higher than other alternatives in town. Also, the last two stylists I’ve had have been unfriendly/not in great moods. Maybe the salon isn’t paying enough to attract good stylists/not be a bit miserable place to work? Have always found haircuts here to be super hit or miss, but bummed to see that trickle down to blow outs now as well.

Sarah Castleman Salon Vibe was so cute and very clean feeling. The weather was beautiful so they had the front door open. Kristen was amazing.I came and ended up doing something completely different than planned and she went with the flow. She was very personable and fun to chat with. My hair cut turned out better than anticipated.

Audrey Borges It was my first time at this very cute tropical-themed salon, and I had a great experience. Kim is amazing and did a fantastic job because my hair turned out just the way I had pictured. I also felt right at home due to the laid back vibe and fun conversation. Ill definitely be back.

Savannah Bryson Kim is a very talented hair stylist / colorist!! We’ve been going to her for years and she’s highly knowledgeable in coloring techniques and will understand exactly what you’re looking for. If I’m ever looking to switch things up with my hair, I’ll usually show her a few sample pictures and she can always replicate it. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Zoe O’neill Gracie is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. Me being a teenager at the time she was doing my hair I always wanted to keep up with the latest hair trends, gracie always new what I was talking about and did exactly what I had in mind. Not only was she able to do that but she also was able to match hair colors that better matched my complexion so it looked natural. The first picture being a before and the rest being after. Beyond beautiful colors and dimension!

Natalie Stambro Having lived in Austin most of my life, I’ve tried just about every salon in town, but Headspace is on another level. I can confidently say I’ll never go anywhere else. That’s all thanks to Taylor B., who is truly a hair magician. I have never received more compliments on my hair in my entire life. Since seeing her, anytime I leave the house with my hair done, I get stopped by actual strangers asking where I go. Not only is her work the best, but I genuinely like spending that time with her. She’s sweet, funny, and so easy to talk to, which makes those long blonding sessions fly by. If you’re looking for a stylist who will make you constantly complimented, Taylor is the one.

Katie Ferguson Taylor M is AMAZING! As a recent Mom I had a long gap between appointments and Taylor just got me right back in action (see embarrassing before pic and after below). She helped me come up with a plan of what would work best for me in the future. After the great color she also did a fabulous blowout. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Merita Zoga I had a hair color disaster when I went to a stylist for full highlights and ended up with orange, streaky, highlighter-style strips that didn’t even go to the roots—exactly the opposite of what I asked for. See the 2 before photos. Desperate for a fix, I found Magdalena, and she was an absolute godsend! Though she was fully booked, she managed to squeeze me in and completely transformed my hair with a flawless color correction. Honestly, this is the best my hair has looked in at least a decade! See the 2 after photos. I was treating myself to a new mom makeover before giving birth in a week, and thanks to Magdalena, I’ve been feeling more beautiful than ever. I’ve been getting nonstop compliments all week. If you need a stylist who truly listens and works magic, she’s the one!

Veena Ghorakavi Had a wonderful time at Hair House ATX. They provided refreshments which was nice. Chiaki did a wonderful job with my hair and is really well versed with hair. She gave me tips about how to keep my hair fresh and what products to use for my hair. I am happy with my hair cut.

Paul Delacruz August 2024 Hair House is the coolest salon in Austin where has excellent stylists and great service. I returned to have Tyler to give me a complete makeover and did a fantastic job. He is truly a master pro hair stylist and makes sure you have a wonderful experience. The salon in in a bungalow house decorated in that Keep Austin Weird vibe. Parking has never been an issue where alway find a street parking spot and use the Park ATX app. I recommend calling to see if any or your favorite stylists has an opening. September 2023 I needed to cancel an appointment with Chelsea where conflicted with an upcoming spontaneous vacation trip so I called to do so. While on the phone I asked if there was an opening not just with her but anyone else and they had a slot opening with Andrew. He was a cool a cool guy who knew his stuff and asked him to go shorter than my last visit. He did an excellent job and showed me show to maintain my new look. He was easily to talk with and and had a great experience. He says best to call for appointments versus relying on the online reservation system. Like always if you drive here recommend using the Park ATX app to park along the street. June 2023 13 months later and my hair had really grown super long but did get shortened slightly a few months ago. As Tyler been having an extraordinary year in his private life so has his business. I keep trying but his schedule seemed impossible to get in so I decided to try someone else. I love Hair House with its eccentric hip atmosphere and his staff are so nice and friendly. Its an experience I have not found anywhere else. So, I had booked Chelsea to give me a new makeover. She was very professional and gave me suggestions and off she went first washing my filthy hair and then cutting away. I was sad to see my long hair get cut, but she assured me I will still have lots of hair and look really nice. She was friendly chat with and we both go to know each other. With all said and done I was very happy with the results where she is an excellent job. I went ahead and booked another appointment with her in a few months.

Caren Kelleher Method took me in for a hair emergency after a stylist at another salon in town cut my hair completely crooked. Charlee was amazing and helped me gradually fix it so I didn’t have to chop my hair too short. She now is my go-to stylist! Method has such a cool vibe, great people and a very convenient location for anyone downtown. Highly recommend!

Niharika Kulkarni This is the second time I got my hair cut by Charlee. I came in with a bunch of random ideas and just knew I could trust her to do her magic. Which she did and oh so well, I loveee my hair and will be back real soon! The salon has a friendly staff, great products and convenient parking. Recommend!

T Witel Ayesha Cobb is a gosh darn miracle worker. I came to her on recommendation of a friend after I absolutely FRIED my hair from a bad perm. She basically saved my hair from a pile of straw and helped it grow out as healthily as possible due to all the damage. Since then weve gone red, pink (color depositing shampoos), and then back to og blonde (highlights that were a whole transformation)! I feel like a diva every time I leave the salon. Ayesha takes her time and is so detail-oriented. Never had a better haircut/process in my life and worth every penny. The salon itself is also really cool and clean, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is good. But Ayesha is the hero of my hair saga! (The last 2 photos are my hair pre-Ayesha/perm damage and then what it looked like after seeing her twice)

Regina Shvets Berenice was so attentive and really indulged my hair to a great treatment. She made sure to understand exactly what it is that I wanted for my hair and gave really great suggestions for my hair type and situation. I appreciated her effort in making sure I was 100% satisfied and I felt so well taken care of. I love my new haircut and highlights!

Panda Bui I grow my hair out for three years before cutting at least 15 inches off to donate (I can get up to 22 inches sometimes). Ive been doing this for 6-7 years now, which means I dont get my hair cut often. Was this place a bit pricey for a hair cut? Yes. But it was a nice treat for myself, and I feel it was more than worth it. My stylist was Kate. She was gentle, quick without feeling rushed, and all around pleasant. The cut and styling was great. I got complimented all day on my hair at the mall and restaurants I went to afterwards. Incredible hair washing and blow drying experience, period. Has me debating an annual trim between donation chops for this next round just for the wash, scalp massage, hot towel, and the least anxiety inducing blow dry experience of my life. Also I think she picked up on the fact that Im not much of a talker and therefore didnt engage in conversation with me after a while, which I was glad for. You can ask my friends. One of my favorite pastimes is sitting in silence with my thoughts. Great experience all around! Highly recommend. I even told my inclined friends about my experience at milk and honey immediately after.

Majick Robinson I loved my wedding nails from Milk and Honey Salon! The staff was so friendly and professional, which made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. The spa atmosphere is beautiful and calming—perfect for getting pampered before a big event. I got gel nails for both my hands and toes, and they looked absolutely stunning. I highly recommend Milk and Honey to anyone looking for quality service and a touch of luxury!

Ghadeer A Jamie is absolutely amazing! This is the first time I’ve had a haircut that I genuinely love. She is so kind and takes her time to understand exactly what you want. She never makes you feel rushed and explains everything she’s doing step by step. Her attention to detail and care really make the experience special.

Jeana Rose Mathis If you love to be pampered and leave with a beautiful cut and blow dry, Ruiz is your place! I went to Ruiz for 2 years before moving states and loved the entire staff and experience. Jamie is amazing and such a fun stylist. I loved chatting with her at every appointment and asking her expertise about what looked best with my face shape. I never had a cut I didn’t love from Jamie, and I always asked about her blow dry techniques because she does such a fantastic job. The salon itself is very nice and has a dark, relaxing room for hair washes. They will treat you with some aromatherapy and hair masks during the hair wash and a complimentary hand massage during the end of your appointment. You can also help yourself to tea, coffee, and wine while you’re there. Loved every visit I had a Ruiz!!

Alyssa Digno Adam did a great job! My first time coming here and I was in and out in about an hour and 15 min. The experience was very luxurious and I love the aveda products they use. Adam was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about hair and aveda products. I scheduled my next appointment with him. They offer complimentary tea, water, and wine and also scalp & hand massage.

Raya Darley What a wonderful salon! Lyssa did an amazing job cutting my daughters hair and has worked wonders on mine as well! The atmosphere at the salon was super friendly from the moment you step in. I also loved that theres a cute little vintage shop to peruse before or after your cut. My daughter (6.5) was so excited to go up on stage to have her hair cut and is absolutely thrilled with her cut. Very LGBTQ+ Friendly, I felt safe and welcome. Love this salon and will definitely be returning for my next cut as well as cuts for my daughter.

Megan Pierce My stylist Gabriella was fantastic! She did a great job on my hair and provided a lot of helpful hair care tips catered to my hair type that I will definitely be using in the future. The shop itself is super cute, the staff were all very kind, and I have to mention that the hair washing stations are incredibly ergonomic. It was the first time Ive had my hair washed without getting a neck ache. Highly recommend!

krn flores linn has been my absolute go to for my hair! Ive been doing my own hair for a few years now and having them color and cut has been an amazing decision for me! Been super happy with how my hair looks especially since the back of my head matches the rest now!!! 10/10 love them!!!!!

Morgan R Best salon in Austin!!!! Ive never had a bad experience here. The staff are so kind and gentle with my hair. Color, cut, blowdry, they do it all so well here!!! Im coming in in a couple weeks for my first ever highlight and Im excited to see how it turns out

Addisyn Tester When I came to this salon, I did not expect the exceptional service I received. Lydia was kind, compassionate, and it was obvious she enjoys doing this! I got a haircut and the entire experience was absolutely lovely from the shampooing to the cut to the blowout. She was even kind enough to do a quick curl on my hair! For reference, I got a long-layered haircut with curtain bangs and face framing. I paid $85 plus a tip. The price is absolutely worth the service in this case. Everyone else was so kind as well and kept offering to get me drinks and made sure I was satisfied the entire time. I can’t wait to be a returning customer!!!

Lee Lena (Coffeelov3r) Had the master hairstylist Tammy work on my hair! She took time to make sure my haircut was even, discussed her next steps and made sure I was okay with certain recommendations and was very gentle! :) overall positive experience!

Jill Camden Jason is a wonderful colorist. He listens to your thoughts on what you want and gives his recommendations on what he believes would be the best color choices for your current hair color and condition of your hair. I highly recommend him! Frankie is wonderful too. She is very precise when cutting hair and Ive never left feeling like I did not get an excellent cut. I can go 9 weeks and my hair still looks great which has been rare with past stylists. I highly recommend Frankie!

N L Fabien gave me a gorgeous French blowout. He took every step with such care and intention. One of my favorite blowouts. 10/10

Erin Silvert-Noftle Great location. Beautiful interior, relaxed atmosphere. I have long thick wavy hair, and Corrine always gives me the best haircut I could possibly imagine. Plus she’s so much fun to spend an hour chatting with! She definitely cares about her clients and how they feel about their hair when they leave the salon. So grateful for her talent!

Victoria Adesoba Brittany was a life saver today! I got a VERY BAD haircut yesterday and she came through in helping me fix it on super short notice on Christmas Eve! She was very informative and gave me so many helpful tips and products to get my hair back on track and her prices are exceptional! If you’re looking for someone for textured hair in Austin, look no further than Brittany! So glad I found her!

Cooper Lisa Brittany did a great job teaching me about wigs and helping with an install. I’m pretty tender headed and her braiding didn’t hurt at all! Communication was good and pricing was fair. I would definitely recommend :)

Von I’zaac Brittany not only fit me in without an appointment, she was very kind, professional and gave me the exact hairstyle I wanted WITH JUST ONE LOOK AT THE PICTURE I SHOWED HER. Definitely going back anytime I need my hair done.

Carey Yim My sister and I came to Austin from New York City to get our hair done at Windy’s. I got a digital perm done and was so happy with the results. It was my first perm and they made it such a good experience. The prices are very affordable compared to top salons in NYC. The service was very personable and the staff are very generous with their care and attention. It’s been a couple days since I got my perm done and I am even more in love with it. I would definitely come back to get my perm done at Windy’s again.

Lois Kim I had an amazing experience at Windy’s Korean Salon! Finding a great Korean salon in the city was tough, but this place is truly a hidden gem. The stylist was incredibly thorough, paying close attention to the health of my hair and creating a customized perm treatment based on that. I really appreciated the honesty and care they took throughout the process. My hair feels great, and the results are exactly what I wanted! I’ll definitely be coming back for future treatments. Highly recommend!

Brennah K I am obsessed with my haircut! After leaving the salon I realized I wanted my hair a lot shorter, & Nora was happy to have me back & took extra time to create the haircut I wanted. I have super long thick hair & I just told her I wanted it shorter, thinned out, & layered—the result is a truly adorable slay! My hair is so cute & flouncy & much more manageable just like I wanted! Also the scalp massage at the wash bowl was the best. My recommendation is to use a picture of the haircut you want & tell the stylist exactly what you want & at what lengths, & you won’t be disappointed with the execution!

Cassie Baker Ill follow Robin wherever she goes because shes amazing. She knows what shes doing and always asks plenty of questions so you feel confident about what youre getting. Not to mention shes just one of the best humans ever. I got a cut with some new fringe and some balayage she did at another salon toned and I am SO happy with it! I felt amazing and enjoyed my time there. The only drawback is the shop could use some better lighting, I had a hard time seeing what it really looked like until I was outside. But seriously GO SEE ROBIN! She rocks.

Becky Chacon Kate is absolutely gifted. I keep coming back because we collaborate on my nail art designs and she just keeps blowing it out of the water. She suggested nail builder and it was the best idea. My nails are growing strong and healthy. Also the cuticle care is top-notch. I love my monthly visits with Kate along with the monthly cocktails. And Ali, shes just such a beautiful soul. The nail art between these two ladies is worth the visits. 2025 update: Kate has moved to her own salon at Orange Door Studio.

Kara Hedlund The holy grail of self care. Not only is everyone a master of their craft, but kind, down to earth and loving. The membership package is unlike any other in Austin. Hannahs hair magic and Angels legit wizard body work has me on cloud 9. Support these folks because well, they deserve it! The space is so beautiful, funky and fresh. Cant wait to keep spending time with these lovely people.

Gabs Garcia I had an amazing massage with Angel during Vinyl Beauty Bars quiet hours, and I left feeling completely revitalized! My body had been feeling quite tense and overworked, but Angel provided a high-quality, therapeutic massage with deep, consistent pressure that melted away my stress. The room’s soothing ambiance, complete with my choice of relaxing spa music and calming mood lighting, made the experience even more enjoyable. I walked out feeling refreshed, decompressed, and fully satisfied with the service. I look forward to booking monthly massages with Angel.
