Marisa Reynolds I’ve been going to Megan for like three years and am well overdue on writing her a glowing review. She does a great job of interpreting my vague statements about what I want into hair I truly love and that reflects my lifestyle. I also know very little about hair and she always patiently makes suggestions for the continued care of my hair (with explanations so I know why!). Unfailingly a warm and welcoming experience.

Valdez Gregory I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed cutLoose, already. For years I wanted to visit and make an appointment, but I was intimidated. They messaged me back on social media one day when I mentioned it and they made me feel so comfortable that I have been going since. No, the price is not for everyone, but if you can afford it, then it’s worth the service and the styling. Your made to feel really comfortable and everyone is genuine, as well as good at their job lol

Nettie Bryant I have given this salon 3 chances now and they have disappointed me each time. My first experience was actually about 3 years ago when I went in for a shag cut on my curly hair. I filled out a detailed form online before my appointment, letting them know about the style of my cut and my hair texture (curls) before I even got there. I was sat in a man’s chair at first, showed him pictures of what I wanted, and he said he was not comfortable to do what I wanted, as he was not experienced enough. He told me I should come back in an hour and a half when another stylist in the salon who had more experience could do it. Thankfully I had time that day, so I was able to reschedule. When I got back and sat down in the second stylists chair, she was teaching him how to do the cut while doing my hair, which in turn took her even longer to do so I spent even more time there than originally planned. 3 hours later and I had my haircut, exactly what I had asked for, finally!! I wanted to give Cutloose another chance, seeing as they had changed the layout of their online appointment form and have heard other people say good things about them since I decided to not go back. I made the appointment about 5 days ago, and booked it with even more time before my event (wedding rehearsal) so that if I had to sit in the chair and be told no again, I had time to spare. I got a call 2 1/2 hours before my appointment (scheduled for noon) telling me my stylist is out sick and that no one else would be able to cut my hair until 2pm. What if I had sat down and it was the same situation as the first time?? I should have known to cancel before that when they texted me to confirm using “Meddie” and not Nettie as my first name! I’m making sure none of my friends ever book here, and will be telling everybody that might be interested to stay away unless they want their time wasted.

Maddie Spera Yasmin was so sweet and is so talented! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and check in with me throughout the process to make sure I liked the direction we were going in. I left with a haircut I absolutely love. Will 100% be coming back!

Alex Walsh I have loved my experiences at Cutloose Hair with Destiny so far. She’s super sweet and very talented. I always leave very satisfied and I feel like my hair has gotten much healthier. I’ve also gotten good tips on how to manage curly hair.

A K I initially wanted a haircut at Salon Kawi to fix a bad cut from a previous salon but the owner, Peter, recommended the only way to fix my hair the way I wanted was to trim it more and perm it. Me being open to trying new styles and having some free time, I went with his recommendation. Three hours later... We went from straight flat thinning hair to a natural wavy perm to give my hair some volume and texture. Im still getting use to post-care but so far, its been really easy to maintain and style. I love it. Thank you, Peter!

Katherine Vuong First time getting a haircut here and had a great experience. Salon was clean and Peter did an amazing job. You get a scalp massage with shampoo and conditioner that smells like flowers and makes your hair feel super soft. My hair feels very healthy and it was exactly what I wanted.

Esther Hwang When my husband went to get a simple haircut, the designer explained thoroughly why the hairstyle he showed wouldnt fit him so well. The designers opinion was on point and he clearly seemed to know what he was talking about. We were both convinced and my husband got curls as the designed recommended. We both loved it so much and it was a great experience to get some professional advice from someone who was in the business for a long time.

Cosette Choi I got hair cut from Dasom! She was able to make my hair look the same as the reference photos i wanted. She also made sure my haircut would fit me well and took her time!

Cynthia Park Peter is great! He is honest and realistic about what is possible for my hair and I always leave his salon with exactly what I wanted. Very fair prices for cuts, color and treatments at a clean salon with great service.

Camden Coyle Olga Leon does amazing work! I have been going to her for a few years now after looking for a good stylist for a long time. She listens to what you want and gets it right with great attention to detail. I am always happy with my hair style and I always get compliments afterward.

Tatum Professional Services, LLC Love this place. The front desk representative Johnathan is very welcoming and kind. This place is Very upscale and it is in a great area. Chelsea Speak is my stylist. She is super sweet, knowledgable on products and hair in general, and has a good vision on the final look! She took me from totally geek to totally chic! I will definitely be back!

Taylor Hadley Kalina My stylist is Samantha Segundo and she is my all time favorite stylist who is the best at Brazilian blowouts!! She has been doing my hair for years now and every single time I go, I get outstanding results and straight hair that lasts for months!! She is an amazing stylist and I recommend for people to request her to do your hair!!! She is also so fun to be around and easy to talk to!

Francine Bailard Karen is an extraordinary colorist and hairdresser! She keeps up to date on all the latest techniques and makes my highlights look natural and manages to keep my color from pulling too red. I always feel pretty when I leave. She’s also so warm and fun to chat with.

Susan Seybold I love Minh Nguyen! She has been my hairdresser and friend for more than 30 years. She’s a gifted artist. Minh always cuts my hair perfectly and now as I’m older she colors my so it matches my hair color when I was young. She runs on schedule too. Wonderful person. So lucky to have her as my friend.

JaQuincia Lemon I drive a hour from school to get my hair done by Drica . Very professional ! Super quick and great at what she does , love her already . My first time coming I got a closure , maybe 3 or 4 people ahead of me but she got me out so fast I didn’t mind the wait .. This is my second time coming to her once again in & out , she now has a loyal customer !

Olivia Grace Love The Hair, The Wigs and The Staff! Drica always takes care of me. The salon is always clean and very spacious. Affordable prices!

Latasha cruz in over 10 years of me being in Houston i could never find a stylist i was referred to drica and overall im highly impressed and would recommend i got a sew in within a hour i was out she has a client for life

Franklin Melody I have visited this salon on several occasions and Tomee/Joelle/Jose are the best. They have affordable prices and care for your hair. I have 2B texture hair and Tomee is great with dry scalp treatments ($30)/blow-dry for curly thick hair ($55). They also offer blow dry for shorter hair ($40). I have been natural my whole life so I have only experienced the occasional scalp treatment/blow-dry but they also offer hair extension/hair dying. From the clientele I have encountered while there, everyone seems to have a great relationship with their stylists. I will keep going for my occasional blow drys. Tomee even offered to learn how to braid on my service (I told her how hard it was to find a Houston braider-plus I dont trust just anyone to do my hair), Tomee will always keep my business if her service stays the same. If youre in Houston and cant find anyone (or trust issues with anyone messing with your hair like me), you should try/give the establishment a chance.

Daniel Farishta, MD I’ve been coming here for the past year and am so happy with the service and haircuts. Finally decided to grow out my hair. Jose (owner) guided me through the process and gave excellent recommendations for products and general tips. The rest of the staff is friendly and talented as well!

Roger Cerda I always look forward to my appointments at the salon. My son and I visit regularly. The salon is always clean and well organized. I can’t say enough about the staff, they are always happy to see you when you walk in the door. I’ve never been complimented on my hair as much as I have since I’ve started coming here.

Robert Houston Tammy is super friendly, very relaxed small town atmosphere. Even sat around and let her give us a little history of Crockett area.

Char Wilson I tried to call the number on the business card I was given to give them plenty of notice that I was unable to keep my appointment two days from now, but I got a message saying enter your access code. I tried leaving a message, anyway...but it wouldnt let me, it just clicked off. I have no other way of letting her know that my schedule changed. I feel bad, but I didnt have any other way of getting in touch with her.

Seleta Beddo Tammy did a great job fixing my hair. Cut and color very reasonably priced. Love my new color.

Priscilla Pompa I received the best haircut from Robbie. I believe long haircuts and color on brunettes are his specialty. Ive been to him several times and he always does such a wonderful job. The salon employees were welcoming and the salon itself has a nice aesthetic and atmosphere. I appreciated my services were done with great care from the hair wash, to the cut, to the blow dry. Nothing was rushed and made me feel valued as a client.

Rida Aamir Terrible experience. Do not come here. Asked for a balayage and got a streaky orange mess. Placement is so splotchy and lazy. Everything I mentioned to my stylist Kenny that I wanted in terms of melting and blending, I did not get. He gave me highlights instead. The front of my head is orange and the rest is blonde. Previously, I came in for a root touch up and they charged me about $150 just to do my T zone, not even the full head and the color didn’t even last but a week. This place is a scam and they refused to give any type of refund to me. They did offer for me to come in for the stylist to fix it and “add more highlights”. I would never let anyone at this salon touch my hair ever again and you shouldn’t either.

Laura Pham I got exactly what I asked for from Kim, so I highly recommend Kim for cuts and color! She’s a true professional who’s very knowledgable about each service she provides. She’s also accommodating, gentle, and walks you through the entire process. I trust her with any look I wish to get done.

Debra Manziel It was an incredible experience. I called late in the evening last minute asking for help. My hair had been really really messed up by another hairdresser out of town I needed someone to correct the color they got me in at 4:45 and stay till after eight doing color correction. my stylist Mesha Chin. she was so precious, very talented and beautiful. She had a lot of patience with me. Most people do not have the skill or patients to do what she did. She was very kind, polite, courteous, and made my time there very enjoyable the salon was immaculate and beautiful, they had great music it and it was decorated for Christmas .The entire staff there were amazing. I spoke with almost everyone in the building that day. I owe a big thank you for the receptionist Isha who was so kind and got me in with a color Correction specialist MESHA CHIN. She also had me send photos of my hair so they could be prepared when I arrived. She was exceptional and they should be very happy to have an employee so dedicated and educated. I don’t usually do reviews at all, but because I was so impressed with the salon and all of its representatives I felt I had to to show my appreciation to all of them. this will definitely be my salon from now on and where I refer all my friends. so anyone looking for a place to go “look No more. Angela Martinez I recently had my hair done by Valeria, and I couldnt be happier with the results. The care she put into the color was evident, leaving my hair looking good. Valerias friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and attentive hairstylist!

Pretty Prettygirl I received three bundles of hair, and when I went to the hairdresser, she installed two of them. However, as she started installing the third bundle, she asked if I had used the bundles before. I told her no, that I had just purchased them. It turns out they sold me used bundles, and they refused to take responsibility or show any accountability. They even lied, claiming they only source their products from a warehouse. But would a warehouse really supply dirty and old hair tracks? I’m going out of town tomorrow, so I had no choice but to get my hair done, but I’m extremely upset that they sold me used bundles. They clearly don’t care about their customers and only take advantage of them.

CeEra Jones I ordered 3 24” sea wave bundles. 2 of the bundles were completely different for the other one. They were super thin wefts but extremely long compared the other 1, literally double the size. I believe I only got 1 actual good quality bundle and the other two are trash. My hair is constantly tangled without me touching it and once I comb it out it sheds like crazy. I sent an email and sent pictures of the inconsistency in the bundles and got no response. Never again will I waste another dollar with this company.

Izzy Foxx The hair upon opening I knew it was not good hair. Its tangled and it hasnt even been unwrapped. I just opened it and I knew it wasnt any good. It was a pretty penny, if I was local I would be in the store but no refunds on the hair or exchanges but baby I dont like it. Its terrible

Caroline So disappointed as I heard so many great reviews about dhair just for me to purchase their hair during Black Friday, install them and in just 2 weeks saw how poor quality it is. They tangle really bad and shred so much. I brought this to their attention and at first they offered me a coupon which was a slap in the face because why would I spend more money for the same thing? I asked for them to revamp the bundles which they did free of charge but still did nothing at all. Wondering if they switch vendors because of the sale but they have lost a customer for good! Would be very weary of using them.

Ashley Toache I love the atmosphere in here, every stylist always seems to be in the zone with their craft. My favorite stylist Caroline, is the absolute best at her craft. I have been going to her for over 4 years and every time I leave her chair I feel refreshed and she is always spot on with my requests. I love more caramel blonde tones and she is just amazing with her colors. She is my go-to and I send all of my friends and clients to her and they leave so happy with my referral.

Laura Steffen Aguilera has been coloring my hair for over two years, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! He’s incredibly skilled, listens to exactly what I want, and always delivers stunning, vibrant color. His attention to detail and professionalism make every appointment a pleasure. Nicole Conkling I’ve been getting my cut and color from Steffen Aguilar since 2022, and he does an impeccable job. He really takes the time to make my color perfect, and I always get compliments even months later. He is very conscientious and accommodating for his clients, and getting my hair done is always a fun experience! I trust Steffen completely with my color and style, and 100% recommend his work.

June Cowan Ive been with Amber for over 5 Years. The most talented colorist/stylist out there. Shes professional, knowledgable, kind, on time, ... I could go on and on. Wouldnt trust my hair to anyone else. Shes the reason I get compliments on my 53 year old hair. I look forward to seeing her every 4 weeks for my color and styling and other appointments for keratin treatments and hair cuts.

Elizabeth Wise This used to be a great store with amazing customer service. Today i took my daughter in the store and was 1st treated like a criminal, 2nd the man was very short tempered with us. Although they did not have the correct fit he blantantly told me we could not try on anything else because he obviously doesnt have her size. Also he accused her of putting a stain on a dress that she already awknoledged with us and which he heard was there. This place just lost my buisness and every other person who asks about dresses will never be sent here again.
