Cleta Council I joined St.Paul a few yrs.back,I find the church to be energetic and welcoming to all who enters its doors young or old. I find its Pastor Dr.Shay Bills to be a great minister she breaks down the chapters and verses to us her parishioners in a manner to which anyone can understand. The music that the Overseer Terry Bills coordinates each Sunday prepares us to get ready to be spiritually touched for the enthusiasm, and spiritually touched services.

Scott Mcc When you have a pastor that has a tag line of, " live as though the gospel changes everything," you have a man that is interested in peoples maturity in Christ. My wife and I have been going to CF Paris for around 3 yrs. They have become family. And when you rejoice, they rejoice. When you hurt, they hurt with you and carry you through the hard time. My life is constantly changing because of my relationship with Jesus Christ and CF Paris is always working to be a catalyst in that growth. If youre looking for a place that teaches grace and mercy but also teaches we have a responsibility to live a life of growing to be more like Jesus, then do yourself a favor and come visit. Amazing worship. So many small Bible study groups to get involved in. Childrens and youth activities are a priority. And mostly, the staff has a love for loving people to a relationship with God. Always room for more. Come see us.

Bruce K. This building looks more like a courthouse than a church, but it is indeed the First United Methodist Church of Paris. It was built in 1922 and added to the National Register in 1983. It is a Colonial/Mediterranean Revival style.
The marker reads, "The beginning of this congregation can be traced to 1843, when the Rev. James Graham organized the First Methodist Church in the area. It later took the name Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church, South. Meanwhile, another congregation, Lamar Avenue Methodist Church, was formed. After the destructive Paris fire of 1916, the two churches decided to form one central downtown congregation, and the merger became official in 1918. The Rev. Robert P. Shuler was appointed first pastor of the new congregation, now known as First United Methodist Church of Paris."
This is marker number 8196 and it was erected in 1985 by the Texas Historical Commission.
There is a large parking lot across the street and another behind. But on a Tuesday afternoon, the church was secured and I was unable to see the interior.

Valley Johnson Immanuel has an amazing group of welcoming, friendly, and loving people to worship with. The preaching, though, is the best part. Dr Moore has the calling, the passion, and the knowledge to reach every person in a special way no matter their spiritual background or walk. They’re a Biblically sound teaching church with the closeness of family.

Tara Hastings I was so moved by the service this morning! Absolutely wonderful AND encouraging! Today was my first visit (and not my last) the moment I stepped out of my car I was welcomed! Mac Broadway Central Pres is my childhood church. My parents attended from age 5 - 16. I remember the preachers robes, his sleep-inducing sermons, the warm caring tutelage of the Sunday School teachers. I learned the tenants of the Christian faith here. Here I went through Communicants’ class, was baptized, & became a Presbyterian.
† Nearly all the churchs pews were given by families in the early 20th century. From inside on a Sunday morning, the stained-glass windows - full of sunshine - were breathtakingly beautiful. The pipe-organ was of concert quality. I often had trouble singing, because I was too mesmerized by the sound of the pipe organ.
