I asked about a pizza oven displayed on the sales floor without a price tag. An employee told me it was $80, and I agreed to purchase it. Once I brought it to the register, the manager went to the back to look for a tag. Instead of returning to speak with me directly, she sent another employee to say I could not buy it at that price because it was a “new” model and tried to substitute an older model I did not ask for.
When I asked how much the original oven actually cost, I was then told it was $199.95 — completely contradicting the price I was originally quoted. The entire interaction felt misleading and poorly handled, especially with the manager avoiding direct communication and passing the situation off to another employee.
Clear pricing and professional management are basic expectations. This situation was neither transparent nor handled in good faith. I chose not to make the purchase, will not return to this location, and am reporting the incident through proper channels.
