5 /5 Sadie Van Schalkwyk: This was my first time and The Mirror and I salon, WILL NOT be the last!! I asked for a “90’s layered bob” as my hair is super flat and I wanted some bounce and dimension. My stylist was Kendall, she was incredibly sweet and carried wonderful conversation, and she greatly exceeded my expectations! I was immediately greeted and in the chair within a minute of arriving. She listened intently to all my wants and concerns and got straight to work. I was BLOWN away by my outcome!! I have never left a salon feeling so sexy and luxurious! (I also was in and out in under an hour!!!) I highly recommend this salon, especially sweet Kendall!

5 /5 Kat Cave Studio: I have been to get my hair cut by Gail at the mirror and I salon three times now. I had some previously bleached hair I was holding on to because I was having a hard time letting go of the length. Gail always listened to my hair goals and never judged. She supported me while I took baby steps before finally yesterday when I was ready to let go of the remaining damaged hair. I can finally run my fingers through my hair again and I felt a little silly for holding on to those sad little bits of hair that felt like straw. I have slightly wavy hair and Gail always does a dry cut to compliment my natural hair shape. The attached photos are from my second cut and the last photo is day two hair after my third cut. My partner who had a little hair trauma of his own also came to get his hair cut by Gail and said it was the best hair cut he’d ever had. He even had me take mug shot style photos so he knows exactly what to ask for in the future. We went to celebrate our anniversary after our new dos and it was the best day. Thank you Gail! She just gained two new regulars. :)

5 /5 B Opi: I booked with Jacob and he’s my new favorite stylist in Austin! He does amazing cuts and beautiful color. I had a really bad experience at a well known spa that left my curls so damaged and my hair so unhealthy, but Jacob eased my worries and has worked magic on my hair. He’s walked me through different options and made sure I was so comfortable with every step. I simply wont go anywhere else and you wouldn’t want to either :))

She has the rare combination of expertise and charisma- and she makes it clear she cares about you and wants you to walk out loving the way you look and feel. I’ve visited this salon twice and both times I’ve loved the way I look when leaving and feel empowered to recreate that feeling when I go home. I’ve never met someone so passionate about cosmetic chemistry, technique and her customers as Valerie. She’s not going to try to sell you on expensive products or entice you with unnecessary protocols. She worked with me to find a style that worked with my natural hair and my personal time constraints, vibe and budget. You will pay for the privilege but you won’t regret a dime. I’m an acolyte and have never before loved my natural hair or my stylist this much. Thank you Valerie.

5 /5 Carla Aviles: Got a long curly hair cut and leave-in conditioning with Gail, and it was fantastic! It was my first time there so she sat with me and talked through what I was looking for, and she explained each step of the process so I was educated on what I can do at home to take care of my hair. She cut my hair the exact length I wanted, and I left with incredibly soft, shiny curls that I love. She was gentle with my hair and very attentive. Not only did I get a great service, but the haircut was also incredibly affordable compared to other salons Ive been to. Will definitely go back!!
