5 /5 Gayathri Iyer: It was one of the best experiences ever. We really loved it. It is worth the drive and visit. They have a very fun train ride that even adults can sit. It’s free and they take us around 6 or 7 times. It’s such a fun experience and brought the kid back in me. My husband enjoyed it a lot of too. Inside they have two model trains that you can go inside and take a look. You can also go into the building where they give you free coffee, have a cute coffee shop and also they have so many model trains. Their set up is so beautiful. The people are also so friendly and hospitable and very knowledgeable. They showed us how they set it up and also different sizes of model trains that were available. Some are so tiny. We would definitely be back soon to see what else they have. If you have kids I would definitely recommend you to take them here

5 /5 Kitten Rages: First time going to a museum and it was amazing! I brought my 8 month old son and he loved it! We got to ride a mini train ride and he had a phenomenal time! Definitely a must see when stopping in Brownwood!

5 /5 Brandy Bee Rose: The museum itself is just wonderful to visit. You HAVE to see inside the old railcars and also the model trains. The play area for the kids is actually very cool also - but you may not be able to get them to even visit it because there is so much to do in the huge model train area. They have a great gift shop area also that is full of unique toys that really aren’t very expensive. The best part, though, is when they host the Wheels That Move the World event in March. The kids love looking inside all the municipal vehicles and they learn a lot. Don’t forget to ride the mini train outside!!

5 /5 Fishie Something (Felicia Cravens): A fantastic rail museum with the friendliest and most engaging personnel! We came for the sake of my train-loving husband, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself too! The exhibits helped illustrate everything from signal history to rail employees to job descriptions and depot setups. It was fascinating to see inside the caboose and business cars, looking like they would have in the rail days. The depot let us see how the station personnel would have had to work. And of course the massive model train layouts were works of art, of several different scales! The train master answered all our questions and welcomed more.

5 /5 Joey Clearman: This is a great Rail road museum. Staff are super friendly and admission was very reasonable. You can explore real rail cars, view model train dioramas, even has a kids discovery zone!
