2 /5 Kaytlin Shipman: This week, my wife visited the ER three times with worsening symptoms, including persistent vomiting, nausea, chest pain, weight loss, and irregular bleeding, yet each visit resulted in a completely different diagnosis and no resolution. The lack of communication and professionalism among staff was unacceptable, with the evening nurse on the last visit giving us information that directly contradicted the doctor and making us feel punished for asking questions about her condition. Despite blood tests and imaging, critical symptoms were dismissed, antibiotics were prescribed without confirmation of infection, and important follow-up tests like a pelvic ultrasound or echocardiogram were not performed. We left each visit in utter confusion, with no clear guidance or consistent care, culminating in my wife being discharged with pending blood tests and no resolution to her condition. This experience has caused significant distress and has eroded our trust in this hospital, and we will never return. Clearer communication, consistent care, and empathy are desperately needed to prevent such unacceptable treatment in the future.
