5 /5 Tudor Teodorescu: Texas City Museum has one of the most beautiful and detailed model train displays. I spent 2 hours admiring the sets. The other exhibits are also worth visiting to learn about the history of Texas City.

5 /5 Kristen (Gypsy Monkey): Boy did we make some great memories here . The train exhibition on Saturdays is a must see . My 5 year old nephew & I had a ball exploring all the details from Superman flying up above to an alien spaceship landing . There are buttons to press which makes for a fun interactive and engaging display . We then explored the rest of the museum which also featured another area that kids can play with legos and magnets . We learned a lot of Texas City too that we didn’t know before our visit . Very reasonable price and it was nice & cool inside too . Clean bathrooms too . Thank you for a great time . We can’t wait to spread the word about our experience .

5 /5 Chris Wilcox: What a great museum. As museums, this one is laid out very nice and takes you through the cities history. It is a story that affected a lot of how things work today. But the real gem is the floor dedicated to railroad miniatures. I have paid a lot more to see a lot less. The best miniature trains Ive seen.

5 /5 Francisco Montoya: Very interesting spot. I never knew about the Texas City Explosion in the 40s. The highlight of this place has to be the train hobby room on the second floor. Very cool to see the amazing setups.

Martha McKenzie: Fun in the Sun for All Ages! Lagoonfest was such a blast! From the moment we arrived, the energy was vibrant and the setup was perfect for a day of summer fun. The water was clean, refreshing, and the activities were nonstop — from obstacle courses and paddleboarding to lounging under umbrellas with a drink in hand. There were plenty of food options, music, and spots to chill when you needed a break from the sun. It’s the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or solo, Lagoonfest is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be back for more sun, splashes, and good vibes! The swimming area is not deep. It’s probably 3 1/2-4 feet. The only deep water 10 feet is where the activities (obstacle course, kayaking) are.

David Snow: This is a beautiful place, however this could be better kept if they got the funding, but this is Texas and the environment isnt taken care of that well for economic reasons.. When I volunteered there, progress was slower than it should have been. I had some ideas to better the place and get things done, but they want to run it the way they want to...Whatever, I hope it all works out. Best of luck to Aaron, the workers, and the TNC!

FATIMA HAQ: Came here on a Monday afternoon and it was fun! Not many people so there was hardly any wait. We loved the roller coaster, wheel of fire and Pharoah ride! Vanilla Ice cream cone at the funnel cake shop is delicious. Two of the rides were under maintaince which was slightly disappointing…overall it was a fun experience

Amy Behm: This is a little gem!! So cool. I learned so much about Post, Tx and Garza county. A great place to spend an hour in yesteryear and gain a greater appreciation for this little town and its heritage and its direct link to the rest of America today! Come to find out CW Post (Post cereals) and daughter Marjorie Merriweather Post (the wealthiest woman in US at the time and original owner of Mar-a-Lago) were its founding roots.
