Seminole Hospital District - Emergency Room - Seminole
Heidi Wiebe: The nurses are negligent and biased. My sister had a heart attack and my parents had to wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes while a boy (not mennonite)with measles was immediately treated upon walking into the ER. I guess since my mom wears skirts my sister had to wait to be seen?! Mind you that my sister is nonverbal and disabled. Terribly disappointed in the lack of care my sister received here. They also took about 7 hours to get the transfer paperwork done to send her to lubbock, and during that time they didnt hook her up to an iv to get fluids going. Thank goodness for the EMT who immediately got an iv going when she came to transfer my sister. I would give 0 stars if I could.
UTMB Health Blocker Burn Clinic, Galveston - Galveston
Maria Motawala: I thank God for sending us to this Hospital where they are such good and professional people. The staff, the nurses and the doctors are remarkable. Everyone their is very generous and kind and are ready to help. I was looking for a Hospital for help for my husband and I found it here. I will definitely recommend it to anyone. I give it above 5 stars for helping my husband as fast as they could with his burns on both hands. Thank you all for all your hard work. God bless all of you.
UTMB Health Pediatric & Adult Primary Care, Texas City - Texas City
Meika: 4 stars for the amazing medical team! 2 stars for the two rude front office staff. The other front office staff are kind and are familiar with us. My special needs kid has been coming here since birth. Today is the first time I have ever experienced extremely rude front office clerks...Ruth & Terry...because we were not standing directly by waiting sign (3ft in front of sign)...I was struggling to keep my special needs kid still while we waited for someone to finally look up from her desk while the other young lady was engaged in banter with her neighbor clerk. It was not busy nor was there a line or anyone checking in with both ladies. When asked I said yes maam we are waiting to check in, immediately Ruth demanded me to stand by the sign (even though there was no line & we were standing face to face directly in front of ruths cubicle) within seconds Terry immediately demanded me & my son to come to her window to check in, like a power trip. They both could clearly see me and my nonverbal son, hear me talking to him explaining we are checking in out loud. I addressed Terry about her rudeness and disregard knowing I completely observed what they were doing while we wait for them notice us. Not sure how these ladies are UTMBs forefront at all but the medical team is amazing! I will not go anywhere else for primary care for sure even if Ruth & Terry are negligent towards special needs patients and parents.... Update 1/8/2024...Thanks Amy for reaching out on behalf of UTMB but the clerks "confused" explanation has nothing to do with their rude tone & behavior. They should be kind always in a professional setting whether they are confused, giving directions & be considerate of special needs kids who are non verbal. I have always been polite for 6 yrs of coming here until yesterday. There is no excuse for rude staff.
HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Texas City - Texas City
Charlicia Montgomery: I got in and out very quickly! However the Doctor that saw me didn’t come off as very friendly. I do have very good insurance and I know sometimes those who do not have insurance can be treated a certain way. I would have appreciated the services more had the doctor there showed some type care and & concern. Perhaps being a little more friendlier would have helped. On the other hand Nurse Velma was amazing. She was very upbeat & knowledgeable of her profession. She’s the reason I did not walk out! Although, I feel this place didn’t exhaust all test which lead me to go else place - I’d return in hopes to have a change of demeanor. This was my very first time visiting this place!
Texas City VA Clinic - Texas City
B D: Big shout out to Leslie Garner! She is a credit to the VA system. President Trump would be proud of her professional service in my opinion.
Macdonald Bart A MD - Galveston
Jennifer Holcomb: This was my 4th back surgery and, by far, the best experience I have had. Dr. MacDonald was knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate. The office staff are very efficient. I never waited to be seen in the office. I also like the fact that the appointment reminders are sent through e-mail with enough time to cancel if you need to, but not overkill with sending multiple reminders. I will recommend him to anyone who asks me. Thanks again, Dr. MacDonald, and your staff, for a wonderful experience.
UTMB Health Urgent Care, Texas City - Texas City
Samuel Brent: They literally double booked me and I have work today!!! Wtf I always show up early at least 20 minutes and always have to wait. But I see all their plaques on the wall for the drs hitting and exceeding metrics like really?!? This is not sales or retail they are killing it in metrics.. with allowing us only 15min visits. I paid 33k for colonoscopy they literally couldnt find my bleeding hemorrhoids and yet I bleed daily from it.. this is malpractice!!! BEWARE OF ALL UTMB
UTMB Health General Surgery, UHC Galveston - Galveston
Holly McKelvey: It’s absolutely appalling how this department has repeatedly dropped the ball on my poor mother’s health needs after being a patient for so long. My mother broke her arm/shoulder nearly a month ago and they have yet to schedule a surgery or casting. Meanwhile, she is in pain and improperly healing. I guess I will have to bring her to Houston to get proper care since she can’t get it from UTMB.
University of Texas Med Branch: Calldenter David L MD - Galveston
Love No1: Absolutely horrific physician care and treatment by multiple RESIDENTS ( NOT a Doctor; that is not allowed ). I am a human being as are they, however, I was treated like nothing of the sort. Specifically a resident by the name of Megan Talley within the Psychiatry department at the Pavilion has been only obscenely unprofessional and entirely unethical. Myself as a social worker I know this to be FACT. I hope that before she completes this residency that she has grasped the code of ethics. The actions made by the Psychiatry Department and resident Megan Talley could very easily have her disbarred never able to practice in ANY medical field, nor location. The manner in which I was treated, Im positive that many others would be taking much further actions against her than a simple review on Google. I strongly advise you all to keep what I have said in the Forefront of your mind when using this facility. Also, for your own sake please do not allow her as your provider. My career is one of helping others and I hope that you hear my words and listen 4 a.m. truly hoping that my advice will save you from what I have been through I would not wish anybody the degradation I have experienced.I thank you all for your patience and I wish you all the best of care.
