1 /5 Suzette Bellows: I had the ABSOLUTE worst experience today in the ER Dept at Peterson. Let me explain. I was told to go to the ER after my blood sugar dropped dangerously low this morning (67) and I was dizzy with blurred vision. I had an order to have my A1C tested, but was told they wouldn’t/couldn’t perform that test me for so I said I’d got to a Quest Lab on Monday and have the test done. The staff and nurses were wonderful, but then entered a physician named Dr.Toloza. She was extremely rude and dismissive. I showed her a bottle of the Rx I had been prescribed (Metformin) and she said, “What doctor prescribed that?” I answered her and told her my history of blood sugar spikes and asked if she could recommend something else that would maybe help regulate my levels. She literally walked out of the room to take a call and never came back! After 30 mins, I asked one of the nurses what was going on and they said I could leave because she wasn’t coming back! I realize my situation wasn’t necessarily an emergency, but it was recommended that I get a consult in the ER since my levels have spiking in such an extreme manner. My blood pressure was elevated as well. The worst experience ever!! I will be contacting the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners on Monday to file a grievance.

1 /5 Melissa Marie: The nurse I saw was very rude and laughed at me multiple times. Called security on me who proceeded to follow me to waiting room and outside, I ended up having to leave after one of the officers was making jokes about murder (I have many witness to say she was being very rude and so was her aide) I’ve never experienced such a horrible experience when reaching out for help… it’s sickening. Then to top things off told if I caused any ruckus in the waiting room I’d be escorted off property, so glad I wasn’t a mental patient, or someone in severe danger, needles to say I will be in contact with an attorney (which I told the nurse that was rude and was laughed at agian) and told “you’re accusing me of being a liar you gave me permission to tell people what’s going on with you” which I did not nor have ever in previous visits. I’ve called the complaint department and left two voicemails with no return.

1 /5 M G: Experience was from 2/22/2025- 2/23/2025 on unit 2 West. The staff was neglectful and negligent to the extreme: not answering the call button, not rolling the patient despite that being part of her care plan, and even causing a large injury due to careless IV setup. Not only were the staff neglectful and negligent, they were also rude and largely uncaring; expecting the family to provide for the majority of the patients needs instead of doing their job. Peterson Regional Hospital is a truly horrifying glimpse at broken healthcare system.

1 /5 Tom George aka Dark Icarus: My mother has been in and out of this hospital for 2 years. The doctors are rude and dismissive. They do not stay consistent on diagnosis and sent her home with a bpm of 154. We will be taking her to Fredericksburg for a second opinion. The doctors here are quacks and youre taking a chance with your life going here

Michael: Went in for an excruciating ear infection affecting my balance, last night. The whole side of my face was swollen. They prescribed me eye drops for my ear and discharged me within twenty minutes, even though I could hardly walk. The doctor told me to come back if the drops made my ear swell shut so I could have a tube put in, and sure enough it did. I just tried calling to ask if I could have that done tonight, and they refused to speak to me at all. I currently have massive pain in my ear, and I can’t even verify if they would serve me if I were to call EMS again, which is important to know because this hospital is in another town and do not provide any sort of transportation back to your home. They just kick you out once they do the bare minimum. Very rude staff, poor facilities, arrogant and calloused doctors with diminished medical training, and a tendency to underserve people without insurance who need serious help. I put one star, because I couldn’t put zero.

My nurse was great except for the one Hispanic nurse, older lady very out of touch with reality very rough non-caring the food was horrendous that they brought my wife and myself we could smell it from the hall and it smelt nasty. We both tried to eat it and just could not swallow it, but the nursing was great. They took great care of me in that aspect.

Ora Miles: I had a sleep study scheduled on Feb 13, 2025 at 2130 hrs. I arrived at 2115 hrs. My sleep study didnt start until almost 2230 when the technician started putting all the wires on my head, arms, and legs. I think her name was Martha. She did give me a form to fill out but I figured if I filled it how I really felt, then it would not get turned in, plus she was rushing me. When attaching the wires standing in front of me, she passes gas loudly and smelly. She said excuse me and then proceeded to continue to pass gas several more times. She had told me to put my stuff on the table upon arrival so I asked how would I be able to get my stuff while all wired up. She told me that I didnt need my stuff. I responded that I had my Ipad in my bag so I could read to make self sleepy. She then picked up my bag and purse and tossed it toward the bed and it landed on the floor. I had to tell her that was really rude and uncalled for and I would not put up with that type of behavior. So once she got me lying down in the bed, she picked up my purse and bag and put it on the bed beside me. I asked her for some water to take my medications and she brought me an 8 ounce bottle of water. When I started drinking it with my medications, she told me I couldnt drink it all because I couldnt get up to go to the bathroom. I informed her that I drank plenty of water all the time and I was not incontinent and knew what I could drink and dont have to get up during the night. The next morning I was supposed to be awakened by 0500 and discharged by 0600. But she came in the room at 0515, turning on the lights and telling me she had to unhook me and I needed to get dressed right away. I can only assume that she was still running behind from the night before. She casually mentioned the 2 papers for me to fill out and return to her. This woman had no good bedside manner and I hope no one else has to go through what I suffered. The only kind thing she did was bring me a blanket when I was cold.

Cindy Cook: The process of getting in was awesome and the care was excellent. Never been to such an organized urgent care before. I registered from home, I was called when room was available, got there within the 15 minutes and within 5 minutes of arrival I was in my room. Only a few minute wait and the doctor came in. Everyone was so polite and caring.

Tate Strickland: Caroline and Tammy in the cafeteria are angels. I was very weak and lightheaded after a trip to the ER and after not eating for days, I was HUNGRY! They genuinely cared about my well being - and the food was fantastic! They were absolutely wonderful.

David Langford: I have been going there for a while, because of migraine headaches and everytime that I go they talking about the front desk person and all of the nurses and doctors ( there is one female doctor I have seen a couple of times she is very good at what she does just like tonight she was excellent) . They get you back into the room as fast as they can and get to work on you and everyone is willing to help out. Thank you to the doctor and nurses that took care of me.
