1 /5 Michael: Went in for an excruciating ear infection affecting my balance, last night. The whole side of my face was swollen. They prescribed me eye drops for my ear and discharged me within twenty minutes, even though I could hardly walk. The doctor told me to come back if the drops made my ear swell shut so I could have a tube put in, and sure enough it did. I just tried calling to ask if I could have that done tonight, and they refused to speak to me at all. I currently have massive pain in my ear, and I can’t even verify if they would serve me if I were to call EMS again, which is important to know because this hospital is in another town and do not provide any sort of transportation back to your home. They just kick you out once they do the bare minimum. Very rude staff, poor facilities, arrogant and calloused doctors with diminished medical training, and a tendency to underserve people without insurance who need serious help. I put one star, because I couldn’t put zero.

1 /5 Jay: If I could do zero stars I would. I took a friend who was suicidal here last night. He was going voluntarily to get evaluated. I found a facility that would take him, and my main concern was his well being, and I couldn’t transport him the way he was- a nurse named Jun checked him in, and I spoke with a Dr. Smithers who promised me my friend would be there overnight for an evaluation. I explained why I brought him, asked if he could be evaluated and then Dr. Smithers told me to give the intake coordinator at the facility my friend was going to be transferred too for treatment. I gave phone numbers, explained that all I asked was that I or the facility be notified if he leave or if there was an update. I signed paperwork to be updated, and I was told I would know something once he was evaluated. I called all today and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. After I stated I was going to come by they told me they couldn’t locate him. When I told them I was on the way they stated he had checked himself out. Their story changed with every phone call. It’s like pulling teeth every interaction with this hospital. I didn’t believe the reviews until I experienced this. If you care about your family & friends- FIND another hospital!

1 /5 John Gracia: my girlfriend had abdominal pains and recently we went to see what the issue was you know like how youd think a hospital work..not in KINGSVILLE tho lol my girlfriend was given a shot (mind you was a 400$ shot lol) and rejected any sort of examination to actually finding the problem with her abdominal…I’d like to think everyone there is 100% there for a check because god forbid I have my life in the hands of any of them lol

1 /5 Onisha: I’m giving this place one star based on how everybody else, treated me and my daughter. But yesterday I came in with my daughter, and she had a gash on her head and was bleeding profusely. I literally had a shirt full of blood on her head and we both were covered in blood. The trauma nurse came out. It was like let me see and walked away and said she’s OK. The lady behind the glass move with more urgency than the actual nurse. When I yelled i need help the nurse said it’s not that big of a deal as my daughter was bleeding and had already lost a lot of blood. She didn’t offer us anything to try to clean it or stop the bleeding. But she did try to call security on me. I didn’t get the name of this woman, but she should absolutely be fired because her bedside manners are absolutely awful!!!! She should not be in the care field how she treated us!

My nurse was great except for the one Hispanic nurse, older lady very out of touch with reality very rough non-caring the food was horrendous that they brought my wife and myself we could smell it from the hall and it smelt nasty. We both tried to eat it and just could not swallow it, but the nursing was great. They took great care of me in that aspect.

Ora Miles: I had a sleep study scheduled on Feb 13, 2025 at 2130 hrs. I arrived at 2115 hrs. My sleep study didnt start until almost 2230 when the technician started putting all the wires on my head, arms, and legs. I think her name was Martha. She did give me a form to fill out but I figured if I filled it how I really felt, then it would not get turned in, plus she was rushing me. When attaching the wires standing in front of me, she passes gas loudly and smelly. She said excuse me and then proceeded to continue to pass gas several more times. She had told me to put my stuff on the table upon arrival so I asked how would I be able to get my stuff while all wired up. She told me that I didnt need my stuff. I responded that I had my Ipad in my bag so I could read to make self sleepy. She then picked up my bag and purse and tossed it toward the bed and it landed on the floor. I had to tell her that was really rude and uncalled for and I would not put up with that type of behavior. So once she got me lying down in the bed, she picked up my purse and bag and put it on the bed beside me. I asked her for some water to take my medications and she brought me an 8 ounce bottle of water. When I started drinking it with my medications, she told me I couldnt drink it all because I couldnt get up to go to the bathroom. I informed her that I drank plenty of water all the time and I was not incontinent and knew what I could drink and dont have to get up during the night. The next morning I was supposed to be awakened by 0500 and discharged by 0600. But she came in the room at 0515, turning on the lights and telling me she had to unhook me and I needed to get dressed right away. I can only assume that she was still running behind from the night before. She casually mentioned the 2 papers for me to fill out and return to her. This woman had no good bedside manner and I hope no one else has to go through what I suffered. The only kind thing she did was bring me a blanket when I was cold.

Cindy Cook: The process of getting in was awesome and the care was excellent. Never been to such an organized urgent care before. I registered from home, I was called when room was available, got there within the 15 minutes and within 5 minutes of arrival I was in my room. Only a few minute wait and the doctor came in. Everyone was so polite and caring.

David Langford: I have been going there for a while, because of migraine headaches and everytime that I go they talking about the front desk person and all of the nurses and doctors ( there is one female doctor I have seen a couple of times she is very good at what she does just like tonight she was excellent) . They get you back into the room as fast as they can and get to work on you and everyone is willing to help out. Thank you to the doctor and nurses that took care of me.

Plus charged me a year later for something my company was supposed to pay for, that her staff had messed up on the paperwork.

Barbara Garcia: Since Dr. Roberts left, this place has really gone down hill. This new doctor doesnt care about the elderly. I went there a few times and he informed me to get my non-narcotic pain medicine which I have been on for 20 plus years that I would need to go to a pain management clinic which I have Never abused.He gave me 3 different medicines for 1 prescription. 1 of which I explained I couldnt take. Then I got Ill and needed a refill on my nausea medicine, he called in some different medicine. Then he offered me to come in to get a 250.00 COVID test. I believe he is weeding out the elderly people to get younger clients. My mother n law had almost the same experience. He told her she would have to go to pain management clinic. She is 85 yrs old. I will NEVER return. Neither will my mother n law. We WERE taking tramadol. Nothing addictive. We both have taken this med for many years with NO problems. Now I have to find another doctor. And I have no insurance. What a sad situation just because he thinks he knows whats good for someone who he just met. No compassion or care for us. Also at our age I assume that he doesnt care nor understand what it does to our bodies to be taking medicines for many years and then All of a sudden be taken off those medicines.

Richard Vernadeau: Went to Dr Gangulys office at 8:30 simply to get the paperwork to go do lab tests. Girl at the reception area told me to go to waiting room that it would be a few minutes. 15 Minutes later I returned to the same reception and she said shed go back there and see what was taking so long and meet me in the waiting room. 10 more minutes pass. I go back to the receptionist and she informs me that they were having to change the ink in the printer. So then I get the paperwork. It is now 9:06. I go down to the Labcorps to hand over paperwork and have tests run. I sit down in that waiting room and one woman sitting there informed me that there was nobody in the lab and that she had been sitting there 20 minutes already. I waited another 15 minutes and another lady had sat down also right as I had come in. Two of us had pushed the button to ring the lab room to let them know we were there. There was no response during the 15 minutes that I was there. I got up and left as I had other appointments elsewhere and was on a time schedule.
