Craig and Dawson were absolutely fantastic — they took the time to answer all of my son’s questions, and their knowledge and friendliness made the experience even better. We learned so much from them. The museum’s collection of antique fire trucks and old firefighter equipment was fascinating, and after seeing it all, I have an even greater admiration for the sacrifices and dedication of those in this honorable profession. I highly recommend taking the time to visit these New Braunfels heroes. The best part? It’s free!

5 /5 Valeska Bradshaw: The museum is small but very charming. The antique fire trucks are in excellent condition, as well as the equipment from that era. The building is very well preserved, and the exterior staircases are absolutely beautiful. It’s definitely worth a visit!

5 /5 Rex D: Im so glad we arranged a tour of this museum. I wasnt sure what to expect. Greg opened the museum for us and took the time to give us a great deal of information about local history, the history of firefighting, and, of course, the history of the fire station. They just celebrated 100 years, and dedicated the station as a Texas historic landmark. Theyre the third oldest fire station in Texas. And the best part, he let us sit in the fire trucks!

5 /5 Jordan Peacock: Fascinating tour! Not knowing any better, we just showed up to the museum since Google Maps listed it as open, but there are no dedicated staff on premises. We called the number and were directed to the fire station next door, where fortunately the captain was available to unlock the old firehouse and give us a detailed tour. Easily one of the best guided museum tours I have ever been on! Very educational. Next time, I will make sure to call ahead just in case. :D

Tiffany A: My cousin had her baby shower here recently. It was a beautiful antique style venue that included a full kitchen. They do require cleanup at the end but I was told the rental price was not bad. My kids enjoyed looking at all the old antiques.

Stephanie Breier: This section of the Guadalupe River is pretty calm. With low water levels its slow going. No rapids or fast spots. Just a 3-4 hr long lazy meander. We had a great time & the staff at Rockin R were all great! Shuttle service was fast, and the get in & get out points werent hard to manage. There were lots of slippery rocks, though.

Stephen Rodriguez: Not a bad park, could use an update. Slide is crazy tall but fun. Walk/Bike path is easily 1/2 mile long. Also a good spot to set-up and make train vids for the Railfans. Side note: I’m pretty sure all the missing socks end up here.

Texas Tubes - New Braunfels

Christina Formby: My family and I came down for Memorial Day weekend and had an absolute blast! The staff were friendly and kind, the river was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. I accidentally left my driver’s license behind, and they were kind enough to mail it back to me free of charge! We’re definitely coming back and would recommend this spot to anyone looking to float the Comal River.

Rockin R River Rides - Gruene - New Braunfels

Baylee: Today at noon there was about an hour wait for tubes, however, they had a nice shaded area with seating. I could not be upset about the longer than anticipated wait because all of their employees were working very hard. They even brought in fresh new tubes to blow up to get us on the river (like a hundred new tubes). They could have easily turned us away or made us wait even longer. They were dedicated to get us on the water.

Chris Seibel: I came here to ride the Switchback wooden coaster, and it was a fun little ride. It had some nice laterals and airtime, even when going backwards. Would recommend.

Alves Lane Park - New Braunfels

Kassie Poindexter: Hard to call this a park. It looks like a couple of empty lots that are not maintained. There was some litter and the "grass" was spotty and ill maintained

Santas Ranch Drive Thru Christmas Light Park - New Braunfels

Veleda Harley: I won free passes to go but I would have paid to see this it was beautiful.My family was in another vehicle a few cars behind us and we all enjoyed it. Definitely will be going back next year. and thank you to Texas 46 radio. The only problem was people cutting the line after we had all been sitting for 20 minutes.
