What Clients Are Saying about Michelson Museum of Art (on GG)
5 /5 Linda Descant: A very nice small museum. Very friendly small town.
5 /5 Steve Whitcomb: Friendly staff and a modest but very interesting set of works on exhibit. Also features an area set aside for young people and families. Very glad I visited.
5 /5 Martin S: A wonderful gem of a museum. Our December visit meant exhibits highlighting Christmas trees and Santa Claus figures on display. The Christmas trees are beautiful and striking. Highly recommended, and there is a nice play area for children to build or read.
5 /5 Roby Love: It is a very nice museum. Right now they are featuring Christmas trees and Santas.
I was told that they will be having a Buddha exhibit coming in January. Admission is free and donations are accepted but not required.
5 /5 Paula Koller: This may be a small local museum, but the exhibit of art now open is a specular example of all mediums of bird varieties. It is a beautiful exhibit by many different artists from all over the world.
Samantha G: We take family trail rides here and my daughter takes lessons. This is not a yuppy show off your expensive tack kind of place. This place is truly about teaching beginning to to advanced riding skills with safety of riders and horses first. If your intent is to be the best rider and horse caretaker you can be, this is the place! The trails are all natural and beautiful. The ride is one you wont forget. The horses are well trained, regularly worked, well taken care of, and therefore well behaved even with very young riders. Most of these horses are not large horses so larger individuals (tall or heavy) may not be able to ride without discomfort to themselves or the horse. Vickis family has owned this farm for a few generations and she is highly knowledgeable about her historic site and her animals. We love this hidden little gem! She and Cynthia take care of this farm primarily on their own so call after dark with questions or to reserve a ride as they are usually working the farm during the day and do rides in the afternoon/evenings. Be patient with them.
You wont regret it.
rebecca hernandez: Very relaxing environment. So much to choose from, water is amazingly fresh and clear, nice vibe focused on family. Great place to try, you wont be disappointed
Misty: We had a relaxing visit to the train only & visit to animals. Our 3 yr old & 5 yr old loved riding the train and feeding the different animals. They played at the playground after. Our guide was nice & polite.
David Moore: Great place to walk trails are clean lots of different places to go and explore was our first time there parking was ok I think we were upper level of the area. Love the trail names. Only complaint I have is people with dogs. I get it it sucks touching poop but hey if u wipe your butt you can pick up after your dog. The park is doing there part but come on people u have a dog your walking your dog ur dog poops pick it up. They have trash can everywhere and places for it. Or hey dont go walking with ur dog. Think about it if u have to go to the bath room u dont drop ur pants and just go u STOP what ur doing to go find a bathroom right??? Be considerate and pick up your dogs poop. And yes I have a dog and yes I pick up his poop every time even when I dont have a bag I will grab extra just in case.
Dennis Pohle: Very nice Museum with a thorough history of LBJ from his college thru Presidential years. Information is mostly on nicely done sign boards with pictures and some display cases. Tells a lot about his accomplishment in office and his core values. Also focuses on Lady Bird’s background and accomplishments on the second floor. We were there a little over an hour. Friendly staff, a great value.
Shannon Toy: Great place to swim by yourself in peace, clear clear water. Sometimes you’ll see deer in the park or You might also catch someone on high wire. When you’re driving down Riverside, you might catch a glimpse at this art by a local artist, beauty out of trash.
Christian Gladwell: Visiting The Meadows Center was an unforgettable experience! The glass-bottom boat tour offered stunning views of the crystal-clear springs and fascinating underwater life. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing rich history and environmental insights that made the trip even more engaging. The walking trails and exhibits were peaceful and educational, perfect for families or nature lovers. The center’s commitment to conservation is truly inspiring. It’s a hidden gem in Texas that combines beauty, learning, and fun in one amazing spot. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area—this place is a must-see treasure
