Meridian State Park - Meridian (TX)

4 /5 Kit Rickard: A hidden gem, for sure! We had a nice peaceful camping trip. It was too windy to kayak, but well be back! I love a no wake lake. Lots of wildlife. Good fishing. Caught a lot of blue gill and sunfish, a couple of small bass. Loved the little library and the ranger kit. They loan out fishing gear. If you forgot anything at home, its just a 5 minute drive to Brookshire Brothers and to Ace Hardware, very convenient. Meridian is a really cute town too.

5 /5 jared dornak: One lady told me this place was a hidden gem. I could not agree more. This is probably one of the most peaceful state parks I have been to. The fall colors were so pretty and the lake was calm and serene. This is ideal for fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the summer! They have some really pretty foliage and trails as well!

5 /5 Tracy Bennett: Restrooms were clean. We did not camp over night because we were late arriving and did not get the key to the shelter. #3 sh lakeside is very rocky so you cant bring a very big tent. Many people sleep inside the shelters.

5 /5 Heston Williams: One of the best things about this park is the lack of reliable cell service. If you must have some service, you can go back to the main building near the entrance for WiFi, and to the gate for cell. I will say that sometimes you can pick up both signals in random places around the park, and that varies day-to-day. Excellent hiking trails & fun for all ages! Meridian is a beautiful place.

5 /5 Andera Ramirez: It was a beautiful location. Trails were plentiful, and the lake was wonderful. Camp sites were clean and spacious. Bouns was, the shower areas had privacy curtains!
