Crockett Thompson: This place was so cool! If your looking to get up close and personal to some giant reptiles then look no further. We went on a class field trip and had a blast. Dont forget water, snacks, and sunscreen! Also, the bathroom is not good, so go before you come.
Jason Brown: A good quick stop to learn some Texas history. Wife and I only spent about 15 minutes there and didnt check out the visitor center. It was a good time though. The grounds were peaceful and the statue is pretty good sized! There was a cute bird nesting I the gravel very close to where people drive/walk...hopefully her chicks survive! There were 3-4 little eggs until her tail and she fluffed up a bit when I absentmindedly wandered to close. Anyway, fun monument to visit!
Brooks Wildlife: A great place to find a different variety of winter birds, but this park needs more love. The bathrooms are clean and adequate, but the walking trails are very neglected. One trail is blocked off. I got permission from a park worker to go back and take pictures of the dilapidated boardwalk which is unsafe to walk on. With more work, this would be a great park. The current condition is unfortunate.
Vamsi Srivatsan: Seriously Awesome Spot in Houston!
Just checked out the Waterwall, and wow, its seriously cool! The way the water flows is just mesmerizing, and having the Williams Tower right there in the background? Epic view – definitely got some great pics.
The waterwall itself looks really well taken care of, which is nice. Parking was a tiny bit of a pain when I drove over, but honestly, its totally worth it once youre there. Maybe try parking at the Nordstrom garage at the Galleria – its usually free and just a short walk away.
The park around the waterwall is super chill. Its a great place to just hang out with family or friends. We had a really nice time just soaking it all in. Plus, you can easily pop over to the Galleria since its right there.
Bottom line: The Waterwall is a must-see in Houston. Beautiful, relaxing, and makes for some awesome photos. Definitely recommend checking it out
ShadowFox: Nice place to walk, lots of turtles, very nice trails that connect to the disc golf course across the street, although i wish they had more shade for the cement trails, like maybe bring the tree line closer to the cement
Graciela Zamudio: Great nature trail. Has lots of signs that mention what wildlife is there and details about them. A lot of benches and very serene. The grass is very well maintained
Jisu D: The temple is still under construction and it is good to see such a place is being built. If I am not mistaken, this is a homeage to Meenakshi Temple, Madurai India. A lot is to be done but a good start.
