1 /5 George Lafreniere: I strongly advise against trusting this shop. After having a brand new transmission installed, my vehicle immediately began experiencing serious issues — rough shifting, error codes, and random, violent downshifting that nearly sends passengers into the windshield. A brand new transmission should operate so smoothly that you barely even notice its there, but that was far from the case.
For a second opinion, I took my vehicle to multiple reputable repair shops, including AAMCO. Their experts confirmed that the transmission had clearly been installed incorrectly and advised me to return it to the original shop immediately, as the work was substandard. Even worse, it was discovered that the "new" transmission contained used parts.
I’m sure Martinez Auto will post a typical, generic response trying to downplay this review, but I’m sharing my experience to warn others — this place is not honest and operates more like a scam than a trustworthy repair shop. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. I wont bring it back because I dont trust them to fix it right! the repairs will be done elsewhere and through the court they will pay for the repairs.
