2 /5 Teresa Chance: Two stars is for front office staff, not Dr. Florian. He is a wonderful doctor and has helped my mother live to be 95 and healthy. My issue today was, my mothers nebulizer quit working early today. For some reason now u have to have a prescription. So I called for my mother, as her POA, and I wont use a staff name, the girl that answered said he wasnt in today and she cant get a prescription called in. Her tone was very snippy and argumentative. She said take her to an urgent care. I said shes 95, Im not taking her to urgent care when she doesnt need to go, she has medication at home. She said I cant help you. I said you mean there is no on-call that can phone in a prescription, bc then we have to wait tillMonday? She said there is no one. I said how can a doctor not have an on call for emergencies? Not that this was an emergency, but trying to make a point. She said Maam. I cannot help you. And hung up on me. I called her back and asked her name, which she gave me and I told her I havenever been spoken to so rudely at a doctors office. She said I cannot help you. End
Well, the website says he has a PA which should be the on call I would think. But I know the move may have created some changes, but this girl should not be allowed to speak to patients. Her manner uncaring and bothered. Definitely not a people person for a doctors office. It was a Friday at 1pm, not a weekend and plenty of time for picking up a script. I ended up going to a medical supply place and purchased, which btw, she could have suggested as an alternative to urgent care, if she cared enuf to. I have an RN friend who suggested that after walgreens, walmart , local pharmacy all said need a prescription. Writing this mostly hoping Dr. Florian sees the review and possibly reassigns her.
