Amina Alikhan, MD - College Station
Karen Stokes: Dr. Alikhan listened carefully to my symptoms. Upon examination she observed that I had slight curvature of the spine in the area close to my pain and could be causing my pain. She has ordered 2 different tests. In the meantime she ordered a round of medication that has greatly relieved the nagging pain. She also appreciated the former doctor’s concerns and added this approach to cover the problem.

Haven Birth & Wellness - Burnet
Casey Jewell: My wife and I contacted Haven birth and wellness after a friend of ours recommended them. We had an at home birth. All of our interactions with Ashley, Ruthie, and Brianna were great. The entire experience was great. They were always friendly, prompt, and helpful. They also never pushed back on any of our personal decisions, even when we had an opinion that they did not fully agree with they did not push back at all and willingly helped and supported us. We had Ashley and Ruthie for the actually birth and they were calm, compassionate, patient, professional, and thorough. We would recommend them and consider them for future births.

Advocates For Nurses: Megan rude had to ask what her name was only identified herself as the US tech. Condensing saying biopsies don’t hurt that much. Update: it got worse someone did reach out to me from BSW Cathy N. Who said that there was no patient advocate on site and that she was the original patient advocate, which was shocking, considering her tone and the manner which he was treating me with most certainly did not reflect that and one question about that as well she got extremely defensive. Also speaking out of turn and possibly even scope As it pertains to an RN and when a patient calls, and their appointment is brought up something that she would not know could not know because she doesn’t have that access nor that scope of practice. It’s been consistent with the care that I’ve unfortunately received now at BSW. I was quite shocked to know that there was no patient advocate in the building, and that the charge nurse which uncertain who that would be an ultrasound since there is no charge nurse per se, an ultrasound who was the patient advocate, and if that were true, why was the patient advocate aka The charge nurse notified when I was having concerns in real time? How is there? No patient advocate on site and that responsibilities being put on the charge nurse? I have been so greatly disappointed by the care that I have received and the lack of transparency, empathy, especially as I alone have dedicated over two decades of my life, caring for others to be treated so poorly is deplorable. This is why patients are frustrated. This is why it’s so important for staff to take trauma informed care because the last thing that they provide is any care that is informed to include not even introducing themselves, No time out done prior to the procedure…….. I’m good. I don’t think I need any follow up from Baylors company folks who Are not true independent patient advocates and are not invested in any of my concerns or my outcomes
