  • Pauls Auto Body And Paint - San Marcos
Gabby M: This my go-to for all paint and body needs! The team works with my insurance so that everything is taken care of and there is no extra costs for me. I brought in my vehicle and less than two days later it was fixed!! They are super fast, responsive snd courteous. I recommend Paul and the team to anyone! 5 stars Photos show the after and before. Disregard the messy car, that’s all me. They had it cleaned it up when I got it back :)
    Ishlers Garage - San Marcos
Rebecca Elliff: This place is a rip off. Dont bring your vehicle here. Purchased a motor and was quoted a price for installation. Corn pickup they tried to charge more than what they quoted by $500 and then I got home because something didnt seem right and they had swapped out and put an entirely different smaller motor and on top of it took things for my vehicle took the carburetor I had etc etc this is just a shady shady business and thats not how you do business I would not trust this place at all and they dont even attempt to make it right.

Crash Champions Collision Repair San Marcos - San Marcos
Chelsea Wiedman: From the beginning they made it such a great experience. Customer service was always great. When they said they had it and I didn’t need to worry- they were not wrong. They absolutely had everything under control. They communicated the whole time and kept me more than up to date with status updates. Great people. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
San Marcos Toyota Service Center - San Marcos
Claire Coco: Just had a bad experience with the San Marcos Toyota Service department. We dropped off my daughter’s car and asked for an oil change and check the brakes, the usual “checkup” you get when planning to go on a road trip. They proceeded to send a video of a technician recommending a laundry list of items based on his “findings”. “The spark plugs are the original ones that came with the car, these must be changed immediately,” “all the fluids are black and need to be changed”. Etc etc. Then the service guy (a different person) checked the computer and discovered that we had completed almost all the “recommended services” including spark plugs at our last service, about 10K miles prior. (Most were “30k mile services”.) (I’ll skip the part about the breaks, unbelievable!) The technician was clearly reading from a script, I suspect he recommends the same things to everyone, and the service guy agreed that was probably the case. In the video he made it sound dire! He recommended several thousand dollars of services (I looked at the old invoice and added it up). Needless to say, we picked up the car and fled the scene, oil change only. And we still don’t know if the spark plugs are actually the originals. When I asked the service guy he said “I am sure they were changed.” But the technician said “original” on the video. It begs the question, did they actually change them at my last visit or not? I will be asking the NEXT service shop that question. You know, I usually go to the dealers for service and pay a premium to avoid getting jerked around! I won’t be going back.
Affordable and Reliable Auto Center - Kyle
Meaghan Aguirre: I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Affordable and Reliable automotive. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to explain the issues with my car in plain language and offered fair, transparent pricing without any pressure. The repairs were done quickly and correctly, and my car now runs better than ever. It’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic these days, but this place has definitely earned my trust. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality service and peace of mind!
Firestone Complete Auto Care - San Marcos

All Makes Collision - San Marcos
Tunmise Adeleye: Dishonest and Overpriced – Avoid This Shop I had an extremely disappointing experience at All Makes Collision in San Marcos. I brought my BMW in for a minor issue—a front sensor and a small bumper fix. The damage was minimal, yet the owner tried to charge me an exorbitant amount, drawing up a completely fake estimate of $400. He justified the price by claiming that my car is a BMW, which is a blatant rip-off tactic. To make matters worse, he told me the parts wouldn’t arrive until Tuesday and that the repair would take an hour and a half of labor. I knew the estimate was fake because the damage was superficial, and I suspected something was off. Instead of getting scammed, I decided to drive two hours to my trusted mechanic in Houston, Sonny T Auto Repair. I spent just $30 on gas, and when I got there, my car was fixed in 10 minutes for a total of $40—literally a fraction of what All Makes Collision was trying to charge me. This kind of shark-like behavior is dishonorable and preys on customers who may not know better. A business that operates this way deserves to lose customers. If you’re in San Marcos and need car repairs, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. All Makes Collision is just looking to exploit people, and I wouldn’t trust them with any repairs.
Garcia Diesel & Repair Services - San Marcos
Robert Townsend: I Highly recommend Garcia Diesel & Repair Services! Im from out of town, but have work in the area. Limped my 2005 2500HD Duramax in with a wasted turbo. This team went way out of their way to get me back on the road, and didnt beat me up on the price. I can not thank them enough. They made me feel like family, and earned a loyal customer and friend.
