1 /5 Rosa Garcia: DO NOT GO THERE! Not very happy with this mechanic. He will change things and not let you know until he has changed them and charge you. He seems like the friendliest man, but somehow charges you for extras you dont ask. I took my car in because I was told he was honest. He tried to charge me DOUBLE the price on the parts. Said he had to call in extra people to get an opinion on the repair, so the labor was almost $300. The repair shop is called Joses Auto Repair. If you dont know about car repair...DO NOT GO TO HIM! I am not happy with this mechanics service. He will charge you for things you didnt ask for. He does extra work and doesnt tell you how much it will cost beforehand. He seems friendly, but he adds things he shouldnt do and then charges you for them. I was told he was honest. He tried to charge me DOUBLE the cost of several parts. He told me he had to call more people to check my car, not just himself. If you dont know how to repair cars, dont go to him! The business is called Joes Auto Repair.

Seth Poepke: I had a fast leaking tire, and was calling around to different places around Lufkin to see how much they charged to patch tires. Some places on the very same road as DuPree Tire, charged upwards of $50 to patch a tire. DuPree Tire charged me half of that. There were 5 other people waiting when I got there, thankfully the waiting area had big comfortable couches and was very well decorated and homey. Just 30 minutes after I first walked in the door, they had my tire fully repaired. I talked with an employee named Joey during my visit, who was very helpful, friendly and hospitable, shout-out to him. Id definitely recommend DuPree Tire to others, and I will definitely come back here for any tire problems I might have in the future.

JosePalacio12: I had 2 codes. One for engine and one for abs. I told him not to worry about the engine one bc i knew how to fix it myself. Asked him to just look at the abs one. Went back the next day to check on car. He was trying to solve the engine code didnt even look at the abs code. Had to hook up computer there to check the abs code...i asked him what could cause it and he goes to grab his phone to look up youtube videos. Smh. Told him i was taking the car he didnt hav to worry about it. He stil charged me 100 dollars for the 20 min of work it took him to hookup computer and tak out the sensor from engine i told him not to look at. Never again.

Steve Foster: I took an engine head to Nick’s. I told him to do to it whatever was needed. I thought that might be worked. When he returned it to me he said that it only needed resurfacing. The valves were fine and everything else is fine so I only charge me for magnafluxing, checking the valves and resurfacing. I really appreciate his honesty. I have definitely found The machine shop that I will go to when needed.

Before I took it back I checked under the hood myself it was missing the radiator cap. Had to wait for them to put a new one on. Then car kept overheating after they said it was fine. I asked for a diagnostic and they could find anything. Probably didn’t want to work on it. Waste of time and money.
