1 /5 Malaika Avi: I had to cut my hair off after my experience with Tedaka. She relaxed my hair & bleached and colored it. My hair fell shedded and broke off. I also didn’t like the color so I then went back to her and she suggested we do not use bleach to “keep the integrity of my hair” - but I didn’t realize the hair was dead the second she touched it. My new hairstylist advised me to leave a ‘nasty’ review as the shops owner , Ms. D watched her do this, and anyone with a liscense should know better. I’d rather she had advised me that what I wanted was not possible , than her take my money and me loose my hair. Am writing this review to let any and everyone know to go elsewhere.

1 /5 Mark Woods: Anti-Veteran discriminatory practices are standard practice here. I was illegally denied entry for having my ADA service animal. Thats it. I walked in, was told I could not bring my service animal in. I explained that they legally cannot deny him entry without cause. They said too bad. And Im now calling Texas Bar Association to see if anyone wants a freebie. Good luck with Veterans in this area. I was looking to spend hundreds every few months too.

Needless to say, she cancelled both her interview today and her date for tonight and now has to go to another salon to get it fixed. $$$ The hairdresser offered to re-bleach it and fix it however this would cause immense damage and breakage. WOW! Incidentally, pink is the only color she hates and now Im left picking up the pieces. Does this look red and blonde to you?

Desiree was able to squeeze my other child in who wasnt on the schedule and I appreciated that. It may not be like that all the time.The customer service was exceptional. Desiree and Netta did a marvelous job on their heads. They were very patient and answered all my questions. They are nice people to. They get booked up so call ahead of time and schedule your appointment. They also do locs. They both got silk and press which was 65.00 a piece. It was definitely worth paying for. Once again, give them a call so you can look your best by the best.

Native Domi: I feel scammed. I’ve come to this shop on and off for years but I will never patron this business again. Provided a picture and the outcome looked nothing like the picture. Was quoted one price and at the end of services I did NOT ask for I was charged. Owner was unapologetic when confronted about why the outcome was different than what I expected. On top of overpaying, she also tried to upsale me on edge control which I did not get. I asked for knotless box braids and walked out with hair that looked like old crochet hair from the mid 2000s. Disappointed and disrespected! $220! Ladies please watch scams and desperation tactics during the holiday season
