1 /5 Angela Reid: I would like to preface this review by saying we love Dr. Sherman. He is an amazing vet with wonderful bedside manner and has shown true empathy when working with our pets through the years. Unfortunately, my experiences with Lindsey Muenchow have been less than acceptable. I brought in my 10 year old house cat two years ago with what I concluded was feline diabetes. Frequent and uncontrollable urination, constant thirst, and obesity. She dismissed this possibility and gave a canned answer that it was probably his kidneys shutting down due to an unknown illness or old age and that it would be expensive to treat. Only after I insisted that she test for diabetes, did she agree and found he did indeed have diabetes. We treated this for two years effectively. I traveled out of the country and the individual caring for our pets found my cat near death and brought him in for emergency treatment. Dr. Sherman kindly spoke with me over the phone, explained the situation, and gave us the opportunity to attempt to treat overnight. Unfortunately, when my family returned to try and determine next steps the following morning Dr. Sherman was unavailable and Dr. Muenchow was the only one available. As I have little faith in her ability this was certainly something I would have liked to avoid. Her bedside manner is arrogant and dismissive. All medical professionals are taught to avoid “medical jargon” (unless engaging with other professionals) in order to ensure the dissemination of information is effectively received, so patients can make informed decisions. This ethical and best practice approach is something she is significantly lacking. Again, if you can see Dr. Sherman, then great. If not, I would suggest finding another provider for your pet.
