Hillside Medical Lodge - Gatesville (TX)

5 /5 Tracy Buchle: My mom has been a resident at Hillside Medical Lodge for almost 3 years. I absolutely have zero complaints when it comes to mom’s care she receives, the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the facility and the overall welcoming that this facility gives to anyone who walks through the door. When my mom started getting to that time in her life that she couldn’t take care of herself, this is where she wanted to go. I believe one of the things that impresses me the most is that not ANY EMPLOYEE is afraid to step out of their job description and help a co-worker out! That is very rare these days but I have witnessed the Administrator answering the phone, front office help pass out trays for meals and just sit with patients that needed a little bit of TLC! I highly recommend anyone needing a safe and loving place for your loved one to go for a visit.

5 /5 Judy Gauer: The facility Gabe had been in closed and we had to make sure we chose carefully and prayerfully where his next home would be. Since not only was I Gabes mother, but also a long term care RN for for 30 years . I knew a lot about nursing homes. After we met with the staff, learned more about FourSquare, and toured the facity, We felt strongly it was the place for us. It has been 6 months now. We made the right choice.

My mom was here she had 2 strokes, so , well, they seemed to be doing really good with her until she got a UTI, and she got grumpy and she would push her call button all the time needing to go to the bathroom and they would take awhile to get to her so she would Hollar for help or bang on something well they decided she wasnt allowed to be there anymore because of it so the 2 places they wanted to move her to I went to look at both of them and one was infested with cockroaches and the other smelled like mold. Well, i also talked to the people they talked to, and Hillside lied to them about my Mom . Hillside just didnt want to deal with my Mom needing help . I thought they were supposed to help . So my Moms UTI got so bad they sent her to the hospital and came to find out she went septic. So my Mom had to stay in the hospital. She was treated, and the hospital has a rehab connected to it, so I had her moved there. The place she is at now has been more help and more caring. .. Not impressed with Hillside at all.
