5 /5 Tiffany Shenoda: I have been going off/on to Galveston Bible Church for more than 25 years. My sister and friend have beach houses. Usually I go every January for a Spiritual retreat. I have heard the preaching of several Pastors-teachers that they have during these years. They have never failed to be faithful to proclaim the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are a evangelical free church. They really minister to my heart when Im down there. Many times I was wondering what to do about an issue in my heart and they spoke the words of the Lord directly to me. May the Lord Jesus Christ always be lifted up at GBC. Amen! Sincerely, Tiffany S. 5 /5 Jo Larson: I was most impressed by the friendliness of the people and the emphasis on prayer. I am also happy that people can attend in person (Jan. 2021) and masks are optional. Pastor Jason is that rare combination of a great teacher who can bring a bible-based message into your heart. If you choose to give your email address you can receive weekly updates on programs and matters relating to the church, dates, times, opportunities etc. which I find very helpful. This is not a huge church that you will get lost in and not be greeted personally, this is a church where you will be welcomed. (though not pressured). Demographically this is a good mix of young and old, student and working people, with many nationalities represented. Im sorry that it took me awhile to find this church and would encourage anyone to come who is looking for a loving church with solid biblical teaching.

Ignacio Valdes: Built in 1877 by Irish Americans and raised 5 feet after the 1900 storm, St. Patricks is an impressive Catholic Gothic church in Galveston, Texas. The interior and exterior is magnificent. The congregation is friendly and has good energy. The church for some reason reminds me of Christmas no matter what time of the year I go. A remarkable place to go to mass and experience the holy Eucharist.

The Bishops Palace (currently under renovations) is across the street on one side of Sacred Heart Church, and across a little street on the other side of the Church there is a tiny park with a white picket fence around it that has a brick path in the shape of a Rosary that circles around a shrine of the Blessed Mother Mary. Theres nothing else but a bench in the little park. It was peaceful and nice to see in addition to the Church and Palace.
