My Galveston Getaway Last Sunday (June 11, 2023) while attending the evening worship service I was sitting outside on the steps. On the other side of the steps was a young woman who looked a little dejected. I slid over, put my arm around her and asked how I could pray for her. She said no one had ever asked her that before then whispered "alcoholism" and I could smell the alcohol on her breath. I prayed with and for her. She said shed tried to quit but couldnt - I told her with Jesus she could. I asked if she knew Jesus and she said she knew "who" he was. She didnt know he is a person you can know now and have a relationship with. Right there on the steps of this old church she accepted Jesus into her life as her Lord and savior and I know that WITH HIM she will succeed, not only with this, but everything in her life going forward. This church, where Jesus lives, where love is shown, where the true word is spoken - is an amazing place!

If I ever visit again or move to Galveston, this is where I would go again and be glad to call these folks my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mary Ann Mueller A safe place to grow and feel the love of God! I moved to Galveston in 2017. I saw the Jesus billboard on I45. The Holy Spirit told me to go to that church! I had no idea where it was. Turned out to be the first non-denominational church by our house. We started there and have not gone anywhere else. My husband and I continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord! God is working in mighty ways at COLG. I have heard the preaching of several Pastors-teachers that they have during these years. They have never failed to be faithful to proclaim the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are a evangelical free church. They really minister to my heart when Im down there. Unlearning Communism Church with high historic value and good story that is worth visiting if you decide to go to Galveston (I dont want to spoil).

希惜 It is the main church in Glyfada centre. It is beautiful outside and inside. You may not always find it open because it operates on specific times. But if you come to Glyfada, try to visit it. It has a nice square around it. If you come in the evening of a weekend, you are very likely to see a Greek wedding because it is very popular for weddings.

Fiddler On The Roof This church is wonderful, except that it claims to be a "diverse and multi-ethnic parish" when, in reality, its a very cliquey Serbian enclave, to the point that the priest gives his sermons in Serbian alone. Theres of course nothing wrong with any of this, but at the same time, why not just be honest about it?
