4 /5 Kaitlyn _ resonant_wizard_6: Its a nice place over all but the playground part itself is really small and its always busy after school and on weekends. There are pretty nice walking trails that go around the park with lots of palm trees. There are a ton of picnic tables with grills and outlets so great place to charge up your devices. The splash pad looks like its nice but it was off most of the times we went and then they have the cascade part of the park next to it with a pool of water at the bottom but your not allowed to swim in it. Which is ridiculous its right next to the dish pad, it would be so nice for them to allow swimming in it.

5 /5 Gallo Pinto: Beautiful park in Brownsville. Great for walking, Birding. Tons of places for kids to play. Pavilions and grill pits are readily available. Beautifully decorated during the holidays.

5 /5 Vince Britton: Great park, nice view, lots of picknick areas with plenty of covered picnic table areas with BBQ grills for each. Even lots of clean restrooms. And a small playground and a wonderful kids area with spraying water. 2 lakes, bridge, view platforms and a large water fall. Plenty of parking. As I remember handicap friendly. I highly recommend for couples & family, but also a good place for singles or groups of friends!

3 /5 Miatha Pizana: Well, I came back, and it is a clean park. Yet I guess they either heard or finally got addressed about the cascade water being so green that they finally put clorine to clear all because it looked clean this evening. The xmas lights they put were just lights, no color, just white, so it was ok. Yrs before was different but maybe next yr will be different to. So idk, and thats fine. Its a nice park away from cars hitting you. Kids can run freely, but they added a wall by the cascade, which makes it look tacky. Kinda like when youre at the zoo and no animals, just an abandoned green alge pool. Kinda like that. Im like, seriously, brownsville gets wid it. The picnic area is clean, but Im not sure they charge just so you can cook out. That is meh!. Anyways, its an ok area just to walk or maybe jog. But that water, tho, with that wall, doesnt look attractive. Im just saying. Most likely, someone fell in, thats why the wall. But idk you be the judge.

Roxy M: It was during Charro Days where they hold the Sombrero Fest, it was just too packed for my taste, the food, snacks, and beer were too expensive and we could barely walk. I wouldnt recommend taking small children after 8pm.

Throughout enjoyed the visit. If youre into period architecture this is the place to see! The courtroom is awesome, and the dome is breathtaking.

Brownsville Museum of Fine Art - Brownsville

L Arredondo: Its a small town museum and reflects that spirit. It is primarily 4 galleries and on the day we visited hosted a main exhibition by a national artist held in 2 galleries and in the ancillary wings, there was a group exhibition of local talents and a solo by a regional artist. Honestly wasnt expecting the Menil but assumed that the lights would of been turned on to view the paintings. Overall a cute and raw fine arts haven.

Juan Sanchez: I went there for a Trail Run 5k. It was my first time there, honestly I was pleased at how peaceful and clean the trail was. Definitely would go again for another visit. Please ignore the heavy breathing in my vid as it was the first time I ran a 5k since 2018

Dixieland Park - Harlingen

Stephanie Riffee: This park may not look like much at first but it has a very large area for frisbee golf. It has a covered area for hosting events and a nice view of the water reserve you obviously cant fish there but a water view is still a plus. The playground isnt one of the newer models its definitely still safe and to be this gives into more sense of Whimsy as it has a different variety of colors as opposed to the newer ones Ive noticed popping around here being more blue than anything other colors. It also has a few climbing features that I havent seen at the more popular Park either. A great place to have a picnic I love coming here in the morning when theres hardly any people or sometimes no one else at all.

Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum - Harlingen

Minnie R.: Im a sucker for history and this was wonderful. Loved being able to walk through the historical homes and buildings. Really takes you back to a time of new beginnings. Would definitely recommend, mostly because people need to go to keep history alive.

Hugh Ramsey Nature Park - Harlingen

Luna Liberación: A lovely magical place. The air here smells divine. A diverse collection of wildlife, plants, even a sensory garden. My family and I love to explore nature and have been all over Texas, NM, VA and AZ, this is one of the most lovely spots we have been in. I love the colors here, the vibrancy of green and the stillness. Come, lose yourself awhile in nature.

McKelvey Park - Harlingen

Juan Ruiz: This is a Harlingen staple. A clean and family friendly park. Its lit up with Christmas lights on the holidays and its a great place to take pictures. The trails, if you are adventurous enough and have the resiliency, can take you from one end of Harlingen to the other, ending your trek at the city library. Under bridges, following a small river, and full of nature.
