1 /5 Navile Torres: My baby needed to see a surgen. I was super worried. Anyway when I got there I was told I would not be seen Bc I had been to Matamoros within the last 14 days. BTW Matamoros is like 4 blocks away from there. The receptionist explained this was routine. I understand that but I told the receptionist that I don’t usually go to surgeons so I didn’t actually know this. She said they tried to call me a few days before. I also told her a few days would still have not been within the 14 days. Then I asked what happened and she said my number was wrong but they set up this appointment with my son’s pediatrician and they have called me many times so she could have called to confirm the number but I guess that would have been too much work for them. I was not seen, I wasn’t even allowed in the door, the whole interaction was over the phone and was completely distraught because my baby needed surgery and I wasn’t going to know how urgently until He was seen. Ultimately decided to go to a different surgen. That surgen called and mailed me a Letter of the expectations And what to bring before hand. I think that makes sense if you have strict rules about stuff like that. I never met Dr. Brooks so I can’t speak for her but her staff is a a reflection of her practice and management which is why I have reviewed with 1 star.
