Johnston G. (Gwen White): Left the location after a routine oil change and car began to smoke heavily less than 2 miles down the highway. A police officer pulled over to provide assistance and suggested that I take the car back to Kwik Kar. Before I could make it back, the car stalled and was barely running. I immediately pulled over into a gas station parking lot. I called and explained the situation to the service tech. He asked that I bring it back. I slowly drove the short distance back. The car was driven by the tech and determined to be fine (it was still smoking). The manager suggested that I take it and pay a mechanic to determine if the issue was caused by Kwik Kar. I explained that I have never had issues with the oil change completed by my neighborhood Kwik Kar location (I have been a customer for 3 years). The manager then said something to the effect—“Guess the car didn’t like the new oil change”. I left frustrated and nearly in tears. As I began to drive the 3 miles homes, the car began to engulf the road in a cloud of white smoke. As I tried to pull over into a safe space, the car stopped abruptly-in the middle of traffic. I waited a few minutes and started the car back (another cloud of white smoke) and moved it into a nearby parking lot. I had to call an Uber to take me home. I called the manager back to ask for customer service information and was told to send them an email using the contact information on my receipt. I have completed a survey and will email customer service with videos and a statement. I now have to figure out how to get my car home without further damaging it.

Ron Price: Top notch service from this Firestone location over a period of several years. They have provided & performed complete maintenance needs for several of my familys vehicles. In addition to regular/timely routine services throughout the year I can always depend on them to keep me posted on any other needs that might arise ie; battery wearing down, front end alignments, brake service & safety, etc. Plus they always let me know when my vehicles are approaching long term normal maintenance needs based on the manufacturer recommendations. This location has a solid record of very good managers & team workers...and their current leader and team are the best to date.

Sheldon Vicknair: Extremely Disappointed – Unsafe, Incompetent Service I brought my 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine "Car Care Package", only to receive it back with two lug nuts missing on one wheel and a broken lug nut on another. No one at the service desk mentioned this to me when I picked up the vehicle, and I didn’t discover it until I’d driven all the way to work on Highway 75. I regularly drive with my children in this car, so to learn that Firestone returned the vehicle in an unsafe condition without notification is absolutely mind-boggling. A tire coming off at highway speed or a wheel flying off in my neighborhood could easily cause serious injury, a multi-vehicle collision, or worse, a fatality. When I called customer service, I was told a “case file” was opened—but I haven’t received any follow-up call or email. I called again and was told they opened another "case file" and I would be contacted. Still nothing. That level of silence only compounds the frustration and concern. Looking back, I should have sensed a problem the moment they broke one of my wifes lug nuts and didn’t tell me. I took her 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Instead, they quietly ordered a replacement part and had me wait over two hours without explanation. It’s clear something is very wrong at this location—whether it’s untrained technicians, faulty equipment, or broken communication between the shop and the front desk. They desperately need customer service training and a better system for alerting customers to safety issues. Every visit here seems to introduce a new set of faces behind the counter. I strongly recommend avoiding this Allen-McDermott Firestone and visiting their Allen-Stacy or Allen-Bethany locations instead. Safety and basic courtesy shouldn’t be this hard to find.

Anya: Went on 5/13 for an inspection. I drove home perfectly fine and parked for the night. Woke up to two flats in the front of my car. I called the store asking if they did anything to the tires, which they refused. Keep in mind that they had to touch my tires in order to provide me with the PSI information outlined after my inspection. I was then put on the phone with the manager who insisted that I must have hit something on my way home. I explained that I did not hit anything, that my drive home was short, and that I could provide dash cam footage if needed. He insisted that I must have hit a curb. I asked how that would make my front tires go flat, and he did not provide an answer. The manager insisted that I would need to tow my car in for this and that I would be expected to pay full price for repairs. EDIT: Customer service refuses to answer my emails. I had to get my car towed in for new tires at my personal expense.

R Morretti: I selected Caliber Collision primarily because they were listed as a preferred shop by my insurance and are conveniently located near my home. The front desk staff, especially the receptionist, was extremely friendly and helpful, unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. Jawun was assigned as my service advisor. While he was courteous, the quality of the work performed on my vehicle was disappointing. Upon bringing the car home, my husband and I immediately noticed some issues that were not present when the vehicle was dropped off: new scratches on the door, and a fresh ding on the door. I promptly returned to the shop, where they attempted to buff out the scratches (which are still visible) and re-secured the loose panel that was supposed to had been repaired. I was told I would receive a call to schedule a time to address the door ding, but it’s been over a week with no follow-up. While the repairs were completed on schedule, the workmanship and lack of communication afterward have been frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this particular Caliber Collision location.
