4 /5 Nashalie Mercado: Free admission!!! We were pleasantly surprised with this museum. Very small gallery but the collection they had when we visited were great conversation pieces (in a good way). Interesting art that can be discussed depending on the eye of the beholder. Would love to check out other collections that they display. Staff at the front were polite and welcoming even though we came near closing.

I appreciated the sleek looking design of the outdoor space of the museum and the colorful exhibits they had on display. Located on a perfect spot in the Museum District - easily walk to the other museums in the area. Highly recommend to make this a stop on a multi museum day!

5 /5 Kevin Sinclair: We had a pleasant experience checking out the Vincent Valdez Collection. Lots of life size paintings and cultural thought provoking pieces. The display is around till March and I look forward to going back and examining again, for even more details that I can extract. This in my opinion is one of best displays of artwork Ive seen in a while and truly stirred my emotions. I highly recommend visiting.

4 /5 Elvis Rushing: Wonderful Vincent Valdez art exhibit. We enjoyed the depth of material they had , from notes and drawings to paintings taking up multiple walls. Plus admission is always free!

Dario Chavez: The Cascade Fountain at the Wortham Theater is a great place to take a date or just go for a stroll day or night. When in downtown I definitely recommend visiting. Its also a great place to take photos.

Historic Donnellan Family Crypt - Houston

Monica Foster, Broker: While there isnt much to see here, other than the opening of what was the Donnellan Family Crypt, what I love about this is the history of the Donnellan Family and the crypt itself. It has me pondering what life was like back then, when Houston was just a town. While the familys remains were removed over a century ago, its still a really neat place to pay a visit to if you find yourself walking, jogging, or biking past it. So many secrets and treasures can be found along the banks of the Buffalo Bayou, and this is certainly one of them!

Asia Society Texas Center - Houston

Melvin Maya: Last week I visited with a couple of friends. We grabbed a bite to eat inside and then began to work our way through the entire experience. Its a very nice and well thought out building. You gain a little insight to each of the different Asian cultures with the interactive displays. There was also a phenomenal exhibit at the time we visited. At the time of this review, Thursdays are free entry. Definitely worth a visit and I plan to go back again.

Esther O: update: 5/21, both sides of the beach are now open. the pier is still damaged and closed off. I visited here 5/14/25. As of right now: • The right side of the beach is closed off but the picnic tables are open to sit at. This side of the beach is nice if you want quiet. I sat at a picnic table, shaded, and read a book with nothing but the sound of the waves and seagulls in my ear. • The pier is damaged and thus, closed. • The left side of the beach is open. The sandy area is pretty small but you if you can find a spot, you can place a beach blanket or chair and relax or swim. I didn’t get in the water so i can’t speak of the temperature or depth. There are shaded and unshaded picnic tables on this side as well. • You can fish from the sidewalk on either side of the pier. Overall, a nice place to get away and relax and/or swim. I like it here. bathrooms are clean too quick is a rare plus.
