Our coordinator Kim did such a fantastic Job with the details and directed the event superbly. The atmosphere was so comfortable. The Reception outside and in gave the gathering something special. The lighting and grounds made everyone feel they were at a special place. The Chapel and Brides house amazing, and the Grooms had a hangout as well. If you are looking for a wedding venue or another occasion this is your place!

5 /5 Kimberly Kay: I attended a wedding there and was left in awe over the historic Chapel, gardens, reception hall. The property is beautiful for weddings and events, a true hidden gem of Downtown Mckinney!

4 /5 Laura Hampton: Our son was married in their chapel two weeks ago with their small reception on the outdoor patio. This was perfect for a small wedding only. The only thing that was an issue was that there was very little time allowed to set up and decorate and to clean up afterwards. Plus, that evening, it got chilly so being on the outdoor patio was not comfortable. I felt like there should have been some outdoor heaters or something. Maybe they do have them for an extra charge. I wouldnt know since we werent involved in the wedding plans. Just an observation on my part. It would have made it much more comfortable.

Ashley Haughton: This is a beautiful park! The grass is cut, the paths are clean, and there’s a pond you can walk around. The trails are a great length and very close to a neighborhood. My only complaint is the playground. It is so old and dirty that no one would let their kids play on it. They should replace the swings and playground but besides that is a very nice park! There’s a huge field as well since the park is very close to an elementary school.

Toby Arnett: Fun park to visit. The playscapes have shading on them so helps out a little on a hot day. It is a clean area and lots of room to play. The fields are great for soccer or other sport practices

NA: Wish they were blooming when we went. Small park but beautiful. Several places to sit. No bathrooms close.

Dr. Mack Hill Park - McKinney

Sendy Monarrez: Great park. It has separated playgrounds for toddlers and another one for bigger kids. The toddler playground is actually safe for my 2.8yo who is most of the times careful but she feels safe to play by herself here. Splash pad is great too. No restroom or changing area. But other than that, it’s great! It has shaded areas.

Valley Creek Park - McKinney

Helen Feistel: The small playground is definitely designed for older children, but of the 2 swings, 1 is an infant swing. The single swing seems a little out of place as the only thing available for young kids/toddlers

Kailee Browning: Pretty downtown with good eateries. We enjoyed the rooftop of urban pizza and matcha at fourteen eighteen. It doesn’t have as many shops as I would’ve liked though. All in all a cute spot to walk around.

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve - Plano

Simran Mehta: This is easily one of the best trails in North Dallas. The unpaved trail is about 8 miles long, not too difficult, with gentle elevation changes to keep it interesting. There are plenty of different paths to take, including shortcuts and alternate routes, so you can adjust your hike based on how much time or energy you have. The trail does get narrow in places, and some of the greenery spills onto the path, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your dog to avoid any scratches. You’ll also run into plenty of birds and bugs, so come prepared. IMPORTANT: there’s quite a bit of poison ivy along some of the trail. Be cautious, especially if you have kids or pets with you. There are some nice spots to climb down to Rowlett Creek, and a few areas you could rope swing if you’re in the mood for it. The trail is rarely crowded and has a good amount of shade, which makes it great for hotter days. The paved side of the trail wraps around a beautiful lake that’s perfect for fishing. In some areas, you can also ride horses, which is a unique bonus for this part of town. Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot that has a little something for everyone.
